I am holding reservations for 5 nights in December at the BWI. I can get the BWV for the same nights at exactly the same price thru Disney reservations.
It is my husband and I and our 7 year old GS.

I've already tried to get a reduced rate by going thru DVC owners, but had no luck there.

Am I better off going with a studio at BWV, or should I stick with BWI? It looks like the lobby, pool, etc are all the same. Am I missing something I should be aware of?

BWV will have one queen bed and a pull out couch (double bed), small kitchnette with sink, microwave and under the counter fridge.

BWI will have 2 queens, small fridge. If you look at the resort photos on www.allearsnet.com you can compare the photos and maybe one will appeal more than the other.

Both can have rooms a long distance from an elevator, so might want to request a room near the elevator - we had one 5 rooms from the elevator, never heard any noise - it was wonderful not to walk a very long hallway(s) at the end of the day. And it was close to the main pool (BWV).

Have a wonderful trip!! :)

I've stayed in both, and would choose the BWI side in a second. The BWI side room we were in was very well kept up, the BWV side room on the other hand was definitely in need of refurbishment. I've never stayed DVC on a cash ressie, but I've heard people on these boards complaining about the maids not realizing their room was supposed to be serviced daily, and the problem still continuing even after talking to housekeeping.

In March our room at BWV was fresh, recently painted, new carpet, hallways were even being painted while we were there. We are extremely picky about room condition and cleanliness and we were very happy with our BWV room!

Maybe they've been quietly refreshing the rooms :)

Either one request boardwalk views. Better views from BWV for the fireworks.

Rooms through CRO are not eligible for boardwalk view at BWV, they are reserved for members. You usually get pool/garden.
