Does anyone have the name of the GM at the BWI? I know I can just address the letter to that generic title, but I prefer to personalize it. I have to write and tell him how thrilled we were with the resort, concierge, and other staff.

Have you posted a review?? We are going to BWI deluxe concierge in early Feb and I'm curious. Were the rooms worth the extra $$?? Was the sleeper sofa comfortable?? We've stayed Poly concierge and had an ok time but are hoping for a little more from the BWI - it sounds like they were great - can you give details?? Thanks for answering all my questions.

The room was more than worth the extra money - it was beautiful! We've always stayed at the GF, and IMO, there is no comparison. The itinerary planning staff was fantastic prior to our stay - every priority seating was made with no mistakes and the special things I asked for were there the first night. I had the planners order a gift basket for my fiance to celebrate a special occasion and it was waiting for us when we returned from MVMCP, along with balloons and a picture of Mickey and Minnie. We requested a refrigerator with specialty beer and it was there the first night.

The concierge could not have been nicer. When needed to change a priority seating and my fiance called from MGM - no problem and a hard to get seating appeared. The staff chatted with us and got to know during our stay.

The food offerings were delicious. My fiance brought me pastries for breakfast every day (danish, muffins, doughnuts, etc.) There was also English muffins, toast, and cereal. Midday snacks consisted of popcorn, pretzels, dips, breads, candy, lemonade, iced tea, etc. There was also a selection of soft drinks (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite) and bottled Perrier water. We missed teas and sweets. Wine and cheese was great - ten different kinds of cheese, crackers, an appetizer, fruit, crudite platter and dip, two red wines, one white and White Zinfidel. The latest food offering was desserts and cordials. There were a ton of little desserts, including chocolate covered strawberries, and any type of cordial you could imagine - Bailey's, Godiva, Frangelico, and so on.

We didn't use the sofa bed, as there were only two of us, but the room was very spacious and beautiful. The mousekeeping service was perfect. I'm very hard to impress and admittedly a little picky; this trip was delightful. The BWI concierge and the resort itself exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return in July.

Thanks for the review. It sounds perfect. About the fridge with specialty beer - how much did this cost and what types of beer??We were thinking of doing a grocery stop just for beer but if it's reasonable this would be easier - and DH does like what I would call specialty beer - imports and so on. So far they have been wonderful to work with - we've booked a tour and a fireworks cruise and they are working with me to pick up a few "gifts from Mickey" for the kids.

I actually don't think we were charged unless it was directly charged onto my fiance's credit card. There wasn't a charge on the room bill, but I haven't asked my fiance about a charge on his credit card. Erik wanted Rolling Rock, which is pretty elusive in WDW (we live about twenty minutes from where it's bottled in Latrobe, PA). They had to search all over property for the beer, but it was there! You'll love the resort.

Did you just request this ahead of time? Rolling Rock happens to be one of my DH favorites too. We had considered staying at the YC concierge since they supposedly have beer available but we prefer the decor of the BWI so we decided we could just stop for some beer on the way. He has his favorites but will drink just about any beer if needed (he's good that way). :)

Julianne - It may be best to address your letter to both the General Manager, and the Concierge Manager (yes, there are two different managers.) If nobody here has it, you may just want to call BWI and ask the concierge folks who to address it to.

I just sent a glowing email off to the WL Concierge Manager and General Manager (I asked one of the CMs while I was there for email addresses).

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who takes the time out to recognize good service!! It is a treat as a manager to get a letter telling you how great your staff was.

I'll definately send a letter to both managers. As for the beer, I just asked the itinerary planners prior to our stay, as well as for a refrigerator. The beer was there when we returned to our room after MVMCP. Like I said, I'm assuming it charged directly to the credit since the basket was.

Hi, you have discovered my favorite place in the world to stay!!!!The Innkeepr's Club manager is Julie Piper. You can send her letter to the BWI. I too have written to her to let her know what a great cast she has working for her. I think they are just the best anywhere at WDW. They have so many repeat guests because of the cast. If you want to write to the manager of the Itinerary Planners his name is Kurt Strauss. His adress is the Yacht and Beach Club, that is where the planning office is. I also wrote to him regarding our planner, Stephanie. She was fantastic. I am in communication with her now for my March girls trip.

I e-mailed concierge to ask them (since we've been in contact a lot lately) and this is what they sent me: The General Managers name is Vince Valdes. The address is PO Box 10,000 Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Hope it helps.
