I just realized that you can book a studio at BWV for the same money as a standard room there? I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the down side of booking a studio rather than a room is?? Is the decor the same? I think the idea of a microwave and toaster as well as being able to fold up the couch and have extra room might be a plus. Also what kind of balconey and views do you get in the villas?? Sorry about sooo many question but I am considering switching our room to a studio and we have never stayed at BWI or BWV so i don't want to make a bad move. Thanks for any info from you BWI and BWV experts out there!:thumbsup2

Probably the biggest difference? Two queen beds at BWI vs one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa at BWV. And the microwave, toaster and undercounter refrigerator at BWV. You'll get a smaller refrigerator at BWI. Space-wise should be very similar.

Deb&Bill, Do the rooms look the same?? The pictures I could find show different decor in the rooms. How about views?? Are the the same as BWI at the villas? Thanks...:)

The decor will be different, as they are considered two separate resorts. You will find the same thing between BC and BCV. The standard view BC rooms cost the same as the BCV studios. If there are only two people in the party (who don't mind sharing the bed) then I recommend the studio because you have the sofa to sit on instead of always having to sit on a bed, plus, having the sofa bed instead of the second bed makes the room seem larger. It's also very convenient to have the kitchenette. The bathrooms are of a similar size and layout in both types of room.

It seems like when there are discounts though, that I can sometimes get a better discount on the resort room than the DVC studio, so that is something to consider as well.

Also, the Villas will ALL have either a terrace (ground floor) or a balcony. I don't believe that is true of the Inn. On the other hand, with the Inn you might get a Boardwalk view (room overlooking the Boardwalk), whch is awesome. On the Villa side all Boardwalk view rooms are reserved for members staying on points, so the view would be overlooking garden or pool.

The BWV seems like a bigger room due to not having the 2nd bed. It is just DH & me, so we liked not having the second bed and having a comfortable place to sit. The standard room is actually bigger, but with the 2nd bed, you don't have any more floor space. The thing to consider, will some one have to sleep on the sofa bed? That would make the difference to me. I've stayed at BWI 3 times & BWV 1 time. Always had a balcony, course 2 times in BWI we water view so that might make a difference.
