If anyone needs a potty break have them wait until you get to the gate or even use the bathroom on the plane while others are boarding. Also, if the second flight has started boarding and you have a boarding priority lower than those currently boarding just walk up to the gate, no need to wait to board.

Update.

We’re on the outbound plane to FLL, waiting for takeoff. Even with the inbound plane from CVG plane taking off 20 minutes late.

As soon as we learned our outbound flight would be late, MIL arranged a wheelchair for her. It was waiting for us at the gate.

The plane itself made good time, and we made up about 15 minutes. We got to our arrival gate about 5:50 and our departure gate about 6:05. Even had time for a quick bathroom break. Boarding started about 6:10. Plane scheduled to take off in about ten minutes.

Looking forward to escaping the snow and yuk in a couple of hours.
