My waitlist came through for a BW studio but with a preferred view for November. While I continue to be waitlisted for a standard view, any suggestions on specific requests for a preferred view? Should I ask if BW view is available? Or what are the other choices? Quiet pool view, Main pool view? anything else? To be quite honest, I'd rather have a room with a daybed than get any particular preferred view, except maybe BWV. So what are your thoughts?

We had a great preferred view studio in August and it had a daybed in it. But, I sure wouldn't want to do anything more than sit on that daybed. It doesn't compare at all with the regular deluxe day beds. It's more of a padded bench. But, we were on the 5th floor, over Muscles and Bustles. It was 5063 if I remember correctly. We could see the higher IllumiNations fireworks over the building in front of us and the MK Wishes fireworks off in the distance to the left. We were overlooking the village green with a nice view of the lake and the boats coming and going and Spaceship Earth. I think that SE was my favorite thing about that room.

I don't think I would ask for a particular room but if you requested a studio, village green towards Epcot view, you might get lucky. I requested nothing but non-smoking. When my waitlist came through for Thanksgiving MS noted what room I had had in August and asked if I had liked the view. I said it was terrific and she said she would note that on our reservation.

Thanks for the info on the daybed. We travel as 3 adults and one child and I carry an air mattress for DD (9) to sleep on. She complains about not having a "bed" so I thought the day would be good alternative for her. I know it's not "full size" but at least it's not "sleeping on the floor." Do you think a child would mind sleeping on it?

Our favorite preferred view is of the quiet pool. The Boardwalk view is a separate booking category of it's own so you would have to waitlist for that as well as the standard room. You could ask for the "village green" view which would give you the view described by goofy4tink.

The day bed in some of the studios at the BWV's is nothing more than a bench with a pad on it. We had a "studio plus" a couple of years ago and my then 8 year old DD was not comfortable on it. One roll to the side and she would be on the floor.

Have to agree on the whole 'day bed' thing. It just isn't big enough to sleep on. If you're small enough to lie on it, then you probably belong in a pack and go thingie!!! I would have dd sleep on the airbed. Only problem will be finding the room.

I would request a BW view or pool view. We had a PV room last year and had a view of the canal and the valet parking lot. The canal was nice but I wasn't pleased with the more predominant view of the parking lot---I swore I'd request "pool view" next time---particularily the main pool. Congrats on your waitlist coming through ! I'm hoping my Nov waitlist for OKW comes through soon :D
