I know all the rooms at the BW Park Place Inn & Mini Suites come with a mini refrigerator but can anyone tell me if the refrigerator has a small freezer compartment in it as well? The only reason I'm asking is because I've seen some that don't have the freezer compartment.

It does have a small freezer compartment. At least the one we had last year did. It also had an old ice cream bar stuck to it now that I think about it...

We've stayed there on four or five occassions. Ours always had a freezer -- excellent for freezing water bottles to take with to the parks. :)

I called the BWPP today and they told me that the mini refrigerators DO NOT have the freezer compartments in them. I'm wondering if they changed them. I kind of wanted the freezer compartment to freeze those reuseable ice packs to keep my granddaughter's bottles of milk cold. We were hoping to be able to take pre-made bottles of milk and juice into the park and keeping them cold in a cooler bag. If not, I guess we'll just buy milk and juice in the park and fill them into her bottles when needed.

Oh gosh, I hope they didn't change them out! We last stayed there.....must have been a year ago maybe? Possible I suppose. I wonder if they made them smaller then too. I hope not. One of the key reasons we always liked staying there was the bigger fridges.

What you could try is upping the temp in the fridge for either your ice packs or to partially freeze your milk/juice. Course you run the risk of freezing everything then.

Hi!!!

I am sitting in the mini suite right now and I promise that there is a mini freezer in my mini fridge!

Ok, we were JUST there (a few weeks ago) and they HAD the little freezer section in the fridge!!

We stayed there last Oct and they did have a freezer section in our minifridge. I think we turned down the temperature too much since just about everything in the fridge was frozen.

Oh my gosh! I wonder why the person I spoke to at the hotel told me there were no freezer sections in the refrigerators. This person told me the refrigerator was strictly a refrigerator and also bigger than most mini refrigerators. Thanks to all who responded. Your responses helps us in our planning for our upcoming trip in 2 weeks!

Can anyone comment on staying here in the mini suites area...compared to a normal room with two beds?

Thanks

We were there at the end of June and there was a small freezer. I did exactly what you plan to do. What worked great for us was to have 2 sets of ice packs, one to go with us in the morning, then when we came back to nap and get ready for the night I would repack bottles, etc. and have nice cold fresh new nice packs ready to go. Worked great!! The fridge was good size also. We had 2 (1/2 gallons) of milk in it, a bunch of water bottles, some soda, cheese sticks, gogurt and a couple other small things and it was so great!! Could have probablly put more milk in too if needed.

Have fun!!

We just stayed there this past weekend and we had a mini fridge with a small freezer. It was so cold everything in the top half of the refrigerator was frozen.

I guess what I'm looking for is the comparison from the regular rooms to the mini suites.

We stayed there last October and January and there definitely was a small freezer in the fridge. I also freeze water to take into the parks.

Well, the problem is you bumped a really old thread and the original question was regarding the mini fridges and whether or not there were freezers in them. So, you probably won't get many replies to your question as it's completely unrelated to the OP (dated 2006). You should start a new thread with your question, then you'll get better answers. As for me, I've never stayed in the mini suite and the 1 time we stayed at the BWPPI we were only there 1 night.

I agree with Pixiewings, you may need to start a new thread. I can tell you that I have stayed in a mini suite and will be in one again in October. The room is just an all in one set up, no separate sleeping area. You have two queen beds, then a half wall that separates a sofa bed. Its spacious and very nice. It also had a desk, a frig, a closet and sink area outside the bathroom. Very family friendly.

But not a true suite in my book since there's no separation of rooms via a door.

I wrote up a trip report from our DL vacation in Nov. of 2007. Here's some pics I took of the BW Park Place Inn & Mini-suites. (We had a mini-suite) Sorry for the mess, but was so excited when we got there that I didn't remember to take pics until about the 3rd day. LOL

We stayed in a regular room with a king bed (First floor all the way in the back) and had a freezer (see earlier post) not sure what the mini suites have.
