Just read this somewhere, and that BW folks will get access to SAB.

I just recently switched my reservation from BW to BC. Upon hearing about the pool closing, my first thought was, "Wow - I'm glad I switched to BC." Then, I thought about how crowded SAB will be -- overrun with the guests from 3 resorts! Granted, I'm being the grouchy, glass-half-empty girl here....

Hi,

I wouldn't worry too much about SAB being overcrowded...in January many guests will feel it is too chilly to swim anyway. And you may have some days where it is too cold for anyone to swim (unless they are polar bears!).

I agree with Bob. Heated or not, swimming in January when it's all of 67 degrees out isn't my idea of fun, and I think the majority of guests would agree with me.

Good point.

We went last January and there was at least one warm day when swimming was wonderful. You just never know about January! We were at WL, and the main pool was being refurbed so all guests were crowded in and around the VWL pool. It was pretty packed. "Swimming" wasn't possible. The most you could do was find a spot to stand in the water!

But yeah - definitely less people swimming in January - plus there are other pools at YC/BC. Thanks for the responses. I'll go and worry about something else now!

Well, we're part of the displaced Luna group. I'm not all that crazy about having to trek over to SAB. But, my adult dd is really hoping to sit poolside and sip an adult beverage or two, so it looks like we'll be there, but most likely not swimming!!! Brrrrrrr.

If you're not going to swim, just grab a chair at the villa pool and drink that adult beverage. I'm assuming the pool bar will still be open.

I agree with the others, we go in Jan/Feb often and the only outside water my feet touch is the hot tub!
