Just booked last minute (gotta love it) for 7/1 thru 7/5 at the BW Inn, AP rate.:thumbsup2 One of the few we haven't stayed at yet - stayed in the villas but not the Inn - so we are really looking forward to it. When I looked back at the standard room description, it said "some" rooms have private balcony. I was under the assumption that they all had balconies! Yikes, DH and I REALLY REALLY enjoy a balcony in the early AM and late PM. Has anyone ever had a standard room there and DID NOT get a balcony? Should I have requested one on the reservation? Celebrating his 60th and would like everything to be perect, or as close to perfect as you can get in DW on the 4th of July:rotfl2:

It's my understanding that there are maybe like six rooms in all of BWI that don't have a balcony, so odds are you'll get one. That said, it can't hurt to add the request to your reservation.

I would request courtyard view with balcony. The standard views that face the front driveway are noisy.

As a PP said, there are truly only 5 or 6 rooms out of 300+ that don't have a balcony, so the odds of you not getting a balcony are slim. That said, note it on your reservation, and when you arrive at BWI and are checking in, just ask, "Was my request for a balcony met?" I'm sure that if you don't already have one, they'll get you one if they possibly can.

Good Luck!

I was going to ask to be in the main building, anyone know if that area might be noisy or not have a balcony? My goal is to not be a long walk to the stairs to the boardwalk/epcot walkway.

Well, it's all one building, it's just that the hallways are long. To get close to the lobby, you would request that or request being close to the elevators. IIRC, you can also do a lot of cutting through courtyards as well.

If you get a ground floor room like I did, you won't have a balcony but there was a patio type area with a small table and 2 chairs right outside the sliding doors.

It wasn't private, each ground floor room had one with no type of separation so if someone in the room next to me needed more chairs they could have walked the 3 feet to borrow the chairs at another one. Not very nice but I could see it happening.

So I'd put in a request for a balcony if it's important.
