BW cancelled my Boardwalk view!!

Does anyone call the hotel if they are going to be late. I live in the NE and if my plane is late due to weather, I won't be arriving early either.
Actually, if I think I am going to arrive past 10 or 11 PM, then yes, I call. It may not be necessary, but I make sure I get the name of the person I talked to so that if there is a problem, I can at least drop a name.
Can you give me a number for DVC Member Satisfaction. I have been trying to get a problem resolved with my points for more than six weeks.
By any chance, did you happen to ask for a team lead or a supervisor during one of your calls? I found that if after the second call (read:second chance) I dont get some sort of real answer, I just ask for their TL. So far, that has always done the trick. I would get an instant answer or a call back with an answer in a short period of time. Just a thought...

When I spoke to the gentleman at MS that was going to submit a form to have my points straightened out, I asked who I could talk to about the whole incident. I was given the e-mail address (previously posted). I was also given a snail mail address; if you want it I'll find it and post. I used the e-mail address to express my concerns, but haven't heard anything yet other than it should be taken care of within 5 days. I was never offered a phone number to call.

I called MS and asked them to add "late arrival" on my res after we reserved our flights. The CM said it wasn't necessary, but I was worried about arriving at midnight and not having a room.

If they're taking my points for that night for the room, I'd better have a room no matter what time I arrive....

It is disappointing when Disney does not live up to expectations. Things usually go smoothly with Disney so when things go awry it is much more apparent. In this case it may be more that DVC failed to communicate properly than anything else.

If the room in question overlooks the deck off the lobby this would indeed be considered a Boardwalk view. I have received it also. I agree it stinks as a Boardwalk view. I would guess the last one to check it gets stuck with it as there is little time to ask to be moved.

The second point is it sounds like MS tried to do the right thing by cancelling the reservation when you did not check in on by midnight. Obviously they screwed up by not reusing the points when they re-booked the vacation. Or perhaps they should have only canceled the single night. But they did drop the ball here.
