BVC Trip Report 6/27-7/2

Just back...

Everything wonderful!

Hot, no rain in afternoons like we are used to

Breathless Illuminations cruise---incredible!
Rose and Crown:
Fist time eating lunch there. Everything was great!
Flying Fish, dinner:
Nice but not the same experience that many have reported.
Yachtsman Steakhouse, dinner
Our favorite!
Artist Point:
Had Buffalo, but we go back for the mushroom soup!
Olivias, breakfast:
Very nice, no crowds

Family plan mouse boats:
Always a bargain for the 7 of us (two ride together)
We go to Contemporary to rent, they go faster.
Must have a drivers license to drive, but can drive with a
registered (license to driver) partner.
Y & BC allow 12 and up to drive because they go much slower.

Surfing at Typhoon Laoon:
Awesome!
Our 15, 16, 21 and 24 year old sons went with 24 year old
girlfriend. Broke the bank but they haven't stop watching the
videos I took.

Small observations and comments:
Had room 324 at BCV. Dedicated 2 bedroom.
Locks on bathroom doors, all three were broken. We lived with
it and reported at the end of the trip.
Security Latch also broken on main door.
A few stains here and there.

We felt that these were all minor issues.

I like to get up at 6 a.m. and wander around the Boardwalk with my coffee from the Boardwalk Bakery.

Was also a thrill to say hi to Art the greeter at the BC who greeted the Travel Channel's Samantha.

The maintenance crews are out in full force and very friendly!

All and all the grounds were immaculte, pools clean and clear and hot! Want a cooler pool? The quiet Beach Club pool was refreshing!

Can't wait to go back!

Thanks for the report - I like my morning coffee, too. What time does the Boardwalk Bakery open?? It's not 6 am is it? That would be great as far as I'm concerned!

I don't know that coffee would have me waiting @ 6am for the Boardwalk Bakery to open...but some of the goodies would !!!

Follow-up:

Bakery opens at 6 a.m.

One other small issue but a bit disappointing:

No more DVC discount at Narcossees. I wish they wouldn't do that, give then take away.
It's a small way of saying to us that we're special and the small 10% discount was a great way to say thanks.

They also discountinued the DVC discount of the family plan boat rentals.

Oh well.....

PS the view from BCV #324 is a bit obstructed by a grove a trees.

Can still see Illuminations and France.
