BUZZ's Brigade - TEAM CHALLENGE - POST MILES/HOURS HERE

Good job Cam!!!

Maherae (Anne) and Mousedogmom (Jackie) are you out there?

Some of these teams are going to have a ton of miles because of the tri-athletes they have. :moped: I may have to go out and get a bike to get some extra miles in this year.

Yeah.. I agree with you Chris.. I may just have to dust off my bike and start riding it to rehearsals!!!!

WAY TO LOOK GOOD TEAM!!! Here's to the beginning of Week 2!!!

TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!

(cough) (cough)...(sniffle) Yes, I'm here (cough). Went to New Orleans Saturday where my MIL was sick with a viral bug ... and I caught it instead of some beads. Stayed sick in bed until yesterday. Should I call for a substitute? Will walk today on the TM. Can only give you time for 2 days, sorry team!!

My feeling is no. Every team (and possibly person) will have someone get sick or a slight injury that will put them out for a week or so, but unless it's a long term thing I don't think we would need a substitute. Everyone else agree?

Hope you are feeling better and have a great weekend!! :thumbsup2
We of course will expect double time the next week you are up and moving. :lmao:

:worship: Thank you, great and wise co-leader!
I can handle double this week's time!! :goodvibes

I agree too! We will all have to take up the slack from time to time. That is what a team is for. I tried to do a little extra last week because I knew my team was counting on me. So, I did a little extra to cover you Anne.

Oh, and I do my 2 mile race on Sunday. I'll keep you posted on how I do. Plus I'll have to remember to put that in the spreadsheet too.

Kathy - We go see Annie tonight!! We are soooo excited!!! :yay: :woohoo:

Good Morning Team....

I was checking out the google spreadsheet & noticed that is has the weeks ending on Fridays. John & I had given our workouts through Thursday & since most everyone else posted their workouts on Thursday night or Friday morning I am assuming most (if not all) of us did the same. So, am I understanding this correctly that our weeks should include Friday? In other words, Week 1 was Friday Feb 1 - Friday Feb 8; Week 2 is Saturday Feb 9 - Friday Feb 15; Week 3 is Saturday Feb 16 - Friday Feb 22; etc.

Chris - If this correct do you want our Friday Feb 8th workouts to include with week 1 or do you just want us to leave it for week 2 & it will catch itself up there?

My understanding is that the week should only go to Thursday and that Friday should count towards the following week.. it is the first day of the next week.. People should have been posting their totals on Friday up till Thursday night.. NOT including Friday.... If you have seen otherwise, we need to take that to the Almighty Panda and have him straighten it out! Since I am leaving in about 10 minutes, Chris or Pat.. if you want to verify and confirm in my absence.. that is fine.. if not.. I can do it when I return on Monday. Either way is Okay with me :)

Thanks Karen for pointing that out! :)

Kathy

I'm almost ashamed to post my miles for the week...

I promise to be a better team member, but until basketball season ends and I'm through working concessions at the high school, I have so little control of my life it's not even funny. I keep setting the clock to get up in the morning and work out, then turning it off and begging for more sleep.

So I have a measly little 70 minutes of activity, and 4.23 miles. (The good news is that I've already run 12 miles for the new week!) Next week's totals should be much better!

Jackie

Good morning, team!

Kathy and Karen, our mighty Panda already pointed out that it didn't matter when your week started or ended..it was the month's total that would count. So, don't sweat the small stuff...it'll all come even at the end of the month.

Kathy V., enjoy your time out of town.

Getting those minutes and miles in!!! :yay:

Here are my thoughts. Just post your weekly totals through Thursday each week. (Which is what I think everyone has done so far) By the end of the year it will all balance out so we won't have to worry about which month our workouts fall into.

It gets a little crazy, but the way the weeks fall some of our workouts/days for example in March will actually be counted in April and some of our days in April will be counted in May. As long as by the end of the year we have all days accounted for that's all we really care about. :thumbsup2

Just got in from the cold and a nice long run.

Hope everyone is staying active as that's the most important thing! :cool1:

OK Buzz's Brigade here it goes. The totals for our first week of Moving to Infinity and BEYOND are 258.75 Miles and 68.88 hours.

Great job team! :woohoo:

Hey, TEAM!

I know I've been sick and off the boards...but did we know about THIS>>

I want to encourage everyone to do some local races in their areas also. Especially if you have never done one before. I'm sure unless you live way out in the sticks there should be some 5Ks this spring and summer. Most local 5Ks cost 10 to 20 dollars to enter, do a few and lean from it, then when you are doing a high dollar Disney race you won't be making the rookie mistakes like going out to fast and suffering the rest of the race.

To reward everyone for this, any miles you do in an organized race will count double.

Go team!!!!

I do have a quick question. How do you want us to post our minutes? Because looking at our total the time doesn't make sense. Is the (point) 88 hours aproximately 50 minutes? See, I'd look at that and say it was 69 hours and 28 minutes.

Ugh! Sorry for the confusion. I'm not trying to be the problem child. I just want to make sure I'm posting my time the same way you are computing it.

So, how are we doing? Is there a way to see what other teams have reported?

Eva - Here is the link to the spreadsheet. You do have to create a username/password & sign in to view it.

Team - Our workout week ending on Thursdays works fine with me. :thumbsup2 Just wanted to check since I saw the spreadsheet saying week ending 2/8/2008; week ending 2/15/2008, etc. I know it will all work out at the end of the year, just didn't want anyone to say we were sandbagging it if we ended up with an extra day the last week. :lmao:

Kathy V - Hope you are enjoying your weekend away. :goodvibes

Look at the miles! Go team. I am impressed with some of the weekly totals.

I am not running near that and probably won't. Are some of you getting the miles while riding? If so, keep riding! Since I don't ride I won't get into the 30's until closer to Goofy. The best I'll do is maybe 20 - 25. Unfortunately all my miles will be on my feet :)

The good news is I got in 10 good miles this morning.
Let's go team!

Good Morning. Sorry that I've been MIA still, but my prediction that work was going to get better was wrong.:sad2: Last week was over a 60 hour week and this week looks like it is heading that way too (and that only counts the time I'm in the office actually working, not all the time I manage to somehow loose chatting with friends in the office or checking threads here)

At least I had a lazy morning this morning. I'm going to go run my 4 miles and then head into the office. I am still getting in my miles! I really want to start trying to incorporate some cross training, but that's going to have to wait until I have a bit more time.

Cam and Anne - I hope you both are feeling much better.

Wendy - I hope your races with your son went well. Its great that you get to run with him.

:wave2: to everyone else.

Is anyone else having this problem - I can't open the google spreadsheet because it keeps crashing Internet Explorer?

Yes they changed the spreadsheet to convert our minutes so the 68.88 is actually 68 hours and 52 minutes.

So if you want to send it in as 68.88 to all of us or 68:52 either way is fine. I'd rather it be 68:52, but that's just me.

As for me I'm taking it easy today. Hope everyone is having a great day and I hope to check in later! :yay:
