BUZZ's Brigade - TEAM CHALLENGE - POST MILES/HOURS HERE

Welcome, Leslie and Michelle!! :dance3:

Checking in for this week:
Time: 4 hr 10 min
Miles: 9.11

:goodvibes Anne

Leslie and Michelle -- WELCOME!!!! :welcome:

Jackie -- So glad it is not a stress fracture! Please take it easy. I am so sorry you are in so much pain.

Hello to everyone else! :grouphug:

I'm sorry my contributions right now are so meager. Work is out of control stressful leading to all sorts of physical manifestations of the stress and no sleep.

My totals for the week:
90 minutes
12.42 miles (bike & elliptical)

:welcome: Michelle and Leslie!

I have everyone's numbers up till here. As for me I did one mile less than the last couple weeks. I did 21 miles in 4:18. The weather has been brutal here and running outside has been difficult, but I still got my runs in.

Oh and my treadmill is finally fixed as of yesterday!!! :woohoo:

Keep up the great work team! :thumbsup2

Hi gang,
Sorry I haven't been around much - lot's going on. Anyway, I didn't train too much this week other than the 10 miler on Saturday. It's a taper week for the half marathon I am doing Sunday. Should be a lot of fun.

Miles: 20.5
Time 4:30

Welcome to the new folks. You are only new once :) You are now part of the team!

Have a great week!
Duane

Kathy (NYcpa) – I'm with you on wishing it would warm up so that I can get outside. :beach:
Cam – Hope the ankle is feeling better. :wizard: I’m sorry work has been so stressful for you lately. Hoping it eases up a bit soon. In the meantime, please try to take a few minutes for yourself to de-stress. We don’t want you getting sick.
Jill – Congratulations on getting a workout in when you didn’t feel like it. :thumbsup2
Anne – Hope your out of town trip last weekend was a fun one! ::yes::

Leslie & Michelle:welcome: to the team!

As for me….life has been crazy :crazy2: lately. Sean(DS) & his DGF moved in with us to save some money. (for anyone that doesn’t know…they are due to have a baby in May) So, I have been cleaning out our spare bedroom (which is more like a giant closet – it is amazing as to how much crap you can accumulate over the years - :lmao: ) to be the baby’s room. I’ve also been working on the Baby Shower with Marie’s mom, and working on planning details/research for an Alaskan Cruise we are doing with friends this summer. But…thanks to the team challenge I am still making sure to get my workouts in…so…Thank You team for keeping me motivated. :goodvibes Been having issues again with my right hip, piriformis muscle, IT Band and had a little bit of trouble with my left knee, so I have been making sure to stretch multiple times a day, doing strength/weight training at least 2 times a week, and doing lots of biking & elliptical instead of the TM. The good news to that is my miles have been higher. :rolleyes1 I did walk on the TM last night & threw in a couple of 1 min. jogs. Legs felt pretty good so I will probably add more TM work now. I am still planning on doing the bike at least 2 days a week so that should hopefully keep my miles up somewhat.

Here is my stats for 2-22-08 – 2-28-08:

Miles – 19.3

Time – 8:35

GREAT JOB team in putting in your steps!
Have a GREAT weekend!
Keep Moving Forward to Infinity and Beyond!

Leslie and Michelle - That EEC looks so cool! I wish I could convince DH that I need to go back this year. :rolleyes1

It's so funny that our first trip was in January and now we're going back the two of us in September and all four of us in November for Thanksgiving week. We had to go and fall in love with a place clear across the country!

I just logged my first miles for the week on a beautiful trail run. It's going to be fun keeping track, and it does make me feel more accountable to get my exercise in.

Have a great weekend, all! I'll be gone from the computer as I'm coaching for the LA marathon for TNT this weekend. I'll be looking for WISH shirts!

Training for the week thru yesterday was
261 min and 10.8 miles. All the time, except 75 min of shoveling, was on the treadmill.

Did a challenge on BT with Lynne and Erin where I signed up for 8 hours or run/walking. I met that goal so Lynne signed me up for 6 hours of biking in March. May have something to do with getting a new bike that is custom fitted to my body. Should make riding easier. Only need to get better outdoors so we are dealing with snow covered roads.

Everyone is doing great with keeping up there exercise.

Does todays time go on with March or do we report again tomorrow?

Leslie, thndrmatt/Matt will be doing that marathon! He would be so excited to hear someone yell for him. Hope he's wearing his WISH shirt...

Karen, please take care of yourself!! Glad you are managing the stretches in between everything else!

Have a safe and productive weekend, team!! :goodvibes

Hi Buzzies, got another recruit for you. Please welcome Jessica, (Jusacuz). She is ready to start running again and wants a fun team so I thought of you guys.

Party panda:hippie:

Hi everyone! :) I am so excited to part of a team and I love that it's Buzz's Brigade! He's one of my favorites and people look at me like I'm crazy when I say "To infinity and beyond."

I've done a few 5k races & Bloomsday in Spokane, WA (7.46 mi) a couple of times, but have finally taken the plunge and signed up for the WDW Half. So far this year, I only have a 5k planned to run on May 25 and Bloomsday again on May 4, but I tend to sign up for stuff on the spur of the moment. :)

Tomorrow, March 1st, I will start running again. I have to take winters off because of the snow & cold. Only this past week have I seen the sidewalks. lol. I hope I can help the team add a few miles & minutes to the weekly totals. :woohoo:

Welcome Jessica! :welcome: We report our miles and minutes totals to Chris (goofyinohio) on Friday. Glad to have you aboard!

Welcome new teammates!!!!!

Another short week for me -- 4 miles and 1 hour.

March is going to be a better month. It has to be. I had my dreaded followup visit with my doc and my blood pressure was so high that she wants to increase my blood pressure meds. Just in November she was telling me if I kept doing well, she'd consider reducing it. What a different 17 pounds and 8 weeks of less walking makes.

So, I can give up or I can straighten up. I think I'd rather straighten up.

Off to the treadmill to log a few miles before bedtime.

Woo Hoo! Had my first run/walk since October outside! It was great to be outdoors with the sun, wind, mud, sticks (lots and lots of sticks left from the ice storm), the Canadian's flying overhead, aye!

What a GREAT DAY!

I finally found a race to train for. I am shooting for Lincoln Half Marathon May 4. Getting a little bit of a late start (only 10 weeks as opposed to the 16 I normally do for the half). But that's okay since I've become a Buzzie and put some miles on the TM this past month.

Did 4.1 run3 walk2 combination. 55 minutes including warmup and stretch.

Felt great! 65 degrees outside. Tonight it turns nasty with a 90% chance of rain and a high of 35 tomorrow. Oh well, at least we had ONE day!

Happy day all,
Jill

I also did my walk outside today. It was only 27 when we started but warmed up while walking. Erin and I did 5 miles in 83 min. Did not break any speed records but got it done.

Have a great training week.

Hi everyone! Well.. I am officially in Rehearsal Heck... Things are getting nutty... cast changes... rehearsal space shortages.... Why Do I Do This Again???? Can Someone please tell me?? OY!!!

Anyway.. I have had very little time for me... and even less time to be on here... I am not a good captain this week!!! BUT that is why we have 3 of us!! YAY!!!

Anyway... .my contribution is really low this week.. I have used much more brain power than body power this week... so... 3 miles and 2 hours is what I have to offer!

I hope to pick up the pace this week... LOTS of Dance rehearsals!!

Hi Everyone.. Sorry I can't do individual hellos... and kudos.. but.. I am really beat!! Off to bed for me!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.. ..and here's to an even better week!!!

GO BUZZIES!!!

Kathy

Alright I have everyone up till this point. I still need Mini Girl's numbers as well as IHEARTDL (If you are starting reporting the first week of March just let me know.) I also added Jusacuz to the spreadsheet.

I took a nice family walk yesterday for a couple miles and man was it nice to be outside with them. I'm going to try and get in my run tonight before the rain/storms hit.

Chris, I'll start reporting with the 2/29 numbers and give them to you Thursday night. I think that's the right reporting time. I can't reconstruct last week anymore--brain too fried from a busy weekend and busy work week!

So glad so many of you got outside this weekend. I know that must be so exciting.

Hi Buzzies!

How's everyone doing?? I am sticking to my slow-but-sure training schedule getting ready for my mini/Minnie. I can't believe how quickly time is going by!!

Take care!

Bumping us up, cause we're getting too far down on the list!!
GO, BUZZIES, GO!!

:welcome: to our new cadets!! :welcome:

NYcpa/Kathy, You are doing GREAT!! Your new shoulder and foot got a workout this winter!! Congrats on your new bike!! :cool1:
bjkb/Jill, Way to set a goal!! What does the course look like, i.e. flat? hilly? FYI: Any miles done in an event count as DOUBLE!! :woohoo:
getnthinr/Wendy, STRAIGHTEN UP!! That's too scary to fool around with, kiddo!!
IheartDL/Leslie, glad you got to see thndrmatt/Matt in LA.! He is a wild and crazy guy when he is around WISHers!! Now, there's a question for our Panda..your coaching miles should count as double, too!! I'm PMing him...:surfweb:
kareneast/karen, Keep stretching!! Hey, that Alaskan cruise isn't the Penguin cruise, is it?? :boat: When do we get to call you and Space Ranger/John grandparents?? :3dglasses

Ok, team, may every workout/session be a good one!! :dance3: Anne
