buzz lightyear

This may not be on the right forum but does anyone know whether you can buy the tv cartoon series of buzz lightyear. My grandsons love him and have the one movie that was made specifically about buzz ( the adventure begins) and have watched it a hundred times. We can't get the Disney channel here so I was wondering if the first season episodes are on vhs or dvd. Anyone know?

I don't think they've started releasing the series on DVD yet. Your best bet is to have a friend with the Disney Channel record it onto DVDs and mail them to you.

Where are you that you can't get the Disney channel? Both major satellite services in the US carry it.

I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada. This is taken from newspaper editorial.
Because a group of regulation-protected Canadian companies -- Astral Media, CHUM, Alliance Atlantis -- own Canadian clones that act as monopoly agents of these U.S. channels. Thus, MTV is banned because CHUM operates MuchMusic, HBO is not authorized because Astral runs The Movie Network, and Disney Channel is banned because Astral owns Family Channel.
