Buzz Lightyear (Z) target question

I've been told by a several CM's that there is a (Z) target in the ride that if you hit it you can max out your score to 999999. Does anyone out there know if there is such a target and where to find it? I know of at least (3) 100,000 point(Z) targets. Are there any more and where are they?

Yes, it is true, but I have yet to discover which of the "Zs" it is. I know there is one 100,000 target directly above you as you enter into a door. I forgot which door however lol. Hope that helps a smidge lol.

The last thing I heard was that the million point target had been turned off a long time ago. I'd be interested to find out if there was another one now!

The targets with z are ones that move and you can only get for a short time- there is one in a can with a lid that moves up and down, others are on the inside of a robots arms.

If you turn completely around and aim at the back hand of the large moving robot. I believe that is one of the big score z's. We have also gotten some big scores in the video tunnel.

Hit the volcano a few times and you can also score pretty good. Plus get the bottom of Zurg in the first room you see him (behind you you'll have batteries).

I have read this, but don't know if it's true or not :

There is a hidden Mickey as you come through a round door and spin completely around. If you can hit the hidden Mickey (which is hard) you get a million points.

Don't forget these tips so you can blow your kids scores away!

When you pass the robot on your left (the Rock'em Sock'em type Robot), spin your car around and try to hit the Z on the *back* of the robot's left wrist -- that's 100,000 points.

As you leave the first shooting area, there is a "Z" target on the ceiling above you. If you hit the target directly in the center with the laser, you get 100,000 points per hit.

There is also a hidden target on the wall in the room that shows you the wall video of the flying Zurg ship. You can only see it for a split second while the Zurg ship is stopped and just before it gets destroyed. This is the most challenging one to find and hitting the target(Not Enclosed in a "Z") also gives high bonus points.

The top of the volcano is worth 100,000 points and it will erupt when you hit it.

In the battery room, try to hit the batteries on the bottom -- they'll fall over when you do, and some are worth 50,000 points. Also aim for the tiny batteries -- the smaller they are, the more points they're worth.

Also, after the robot, on your left there will be some creatures on the wall -- the spider is worth 50,000 points.

If you hit the moving wormlike creature that sways left to right that's on your right in the next room, it's worth at least 50,000 points.

It turns out if you hold the trigger of your laser down, you'll occasionally get 1,000 points even if you don't hit anything. When you're going through the red spiral light room, hold your thumb down for a few extra points.

In the room after that, the one with the animated rockets, follow the spaceships until they pause and aim for the Z on them -- if you look closely, you'll see a metal plate on the wall (there's one on each side) under the animation. Hitting those scores 100,000 points, too.

Thanks Seahunt for the info. I did hit the inside palm of the robot in the 1st room on the left and I scored 100,000 points. I also scored 100,000 points on the (Z) target on the ceiling above just before you enter the 2nd room. As far as hitting the top (Z) on the volcano, it added 25,000 points to my score. I will try to hit those targets you mentioned. I did score 999999 a few times. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 999,999 max target must still be there. My neice maxed out at the beginning of the ride when we were there in December. She was aiming for the claw at the beginning of the ride (100,00 pts I believe) but I turned around and she was maxed out. I'll have to see if she knows what she hit.

A few years ago we went on it during an e-ride night and a cm rode with my DH twice to show him what targets to hit. To this day he won't tell me (or ride with me) so he will always beat my score.

When my Mom and I rode Buzz in Feb. she mistakenly got into a car with a heavy vinyl cover over the lazer guns. We didn't have enough time to switch cars so we went ahead and rode through the ride. Well being curious I peeked under the cover and found that mom's gun wasn't working but mine read 000000. Not knowing what would happen, I kept my finger on the trigger and by the end of the ride I had 25000 points without hitting a single target!!!
