Buzz Lightyear scoring still broken

Apparently the scoring software for BL was upgraded recently. However, what happens now is that when scores exceed something like 2.1 million, the score is reset and players lose their points. This happened to me a few days ago when I scored around 2.2 million. I checked my score upon ride exit only to find that only about 90,000 points registered. I raised the issue at City Hall but it makes me wonder if this was somehow intentional. It's disappointing when you work hard to beat your personal high score only to have your points dropped. It feels like good players are being penalized. Anyone else vexed by this problem?

i think its per vehicle settings. I once hit 999,999 by the first room because the ride stopped. I did not gain another point in the rest of the ride. :\

I had two great personal scores (nowhere close to 2.1 million) but when I tried to send them to myself, there was only a picture of me with no score showing so now I have to lie and say that I scored so many points that I broke the scoring system.

Yes, you're correct. None of the vehicles will score past 999999. However, the score associated with your photo after the ride will go well beyond that. I've scored well into two million in the past and have the photo somewhere. Someone I know has scored nearly 20 million and it displayed along with his picture.

Yes, that happens sometimes. I broke my own personal record about two months ago with a score well into 3M. However, the post-ride photo showed no score at all. I was disappointed, since I'd beat my previous high score by something like a million. Oh well...

As an aside, I've been told by a BL veteran that the pics/scores get sent to a server in Florida, then to one in Texas and then back to Anaheim, which is why sometimes pics drop scores. Apparently the software runs on Windows XP, an OS that Microsoft no longer supports.

I never knew this. I always stop playing and harass my ride partner when I hit 999,999
