Buzz Lightyear ride...high points?

What's your strategy for getting high points on the Buzz Lightyear ride?

Aim for the middle (bulls-eye), not just the targets. Also, Zurg is worth a lot of points. When you go through the tunnel at the end, shoot at the little aliens.

Also, there is a link somewhere that I saw once that provided "cheats" on how to score the most points. Kinda takes the fun out of it if you know and the other person does not, but it is available on the web somewhere.

I scored 480,000 on my first trip through....not that I'm a good aim! The ride stopped for several minutes and I racked up the points by just aiming at the same target and shooting constantly! LOL My 2nd time through I only got around 30,000.

I found out AFTER I rode that you can spin your "ship" all the way around, so you can shoot targets behind you...this is a great strategy as you're exiting a shooting "room" (there are several different "rooms" you go through).

I'm proabably not going to describe these right, but they always help me get higher scores:

The first room you go into that has targets includes a big orange robot on the right hit the inside of his left hand (if my memory serves me that is worth 100,000 points)

The room that has all of the batteries on the conveyor like set-up. Those seem to give some decent points.

In the same room as above is also Zurg...there is a target that is all the way at the bottom of the scene which I usually try and hit on the way out of the room that is worth some good points (100,000 I believe)

Also my mom seems to score well in the room that is pitch black...a few times she has gotten 100,000 in there ETA (aiming at the spacceship that keeps moving around!)

My strategy? Dumb luck!

I scored 999,999 our third time on the ride and still don't know how I did it. On our fourth time, we even were stopped for a few minutes and could still shoot the targets and I still wasn't even close.

If you hold down the button through out the whole ride and just aim you will get more points especially(sp?) in the room that spins and I think also in the room with the red lasers. HIH

I've heard that aiming for the targets furthest away is the best way, but I'm not very good at it.

Am I the only one who has a very sore finger afterwards, from holding the trigger down?

i have no idea, i somehow wound up with 450,000 points once and have no idea how it happened. i had like 25000 then i looked down again at had 400000! not sure what i hit!

There are two targets that allow 100,000 point per shot. My wife and I found them but I will have to ask here where they were. We both walked out of there just shy of the max points 999,999. We we in the 900,000 but not the top.

In the first room there is a big orange robot on the right. Shoot his left hand for 100,000. Also in the battery room shoot just under Zurg and I believe one of those targets is worth 100,000.
