I should be an expert on this ride since my girlfriend and I did it about 10 times during our last trip.... but here goes.

I know that the minimum height for the Buzz Lightyear AstroBlasters is 51", but I can't remember if that is a flat out minimum - or if that is the minimum to go by yourself. If an "adult" goes too..... can someone under 51" go? My youngest sister is right at 50", so she wouldn't be tall enough if it is a "no one under" rule.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

I would also like to know. I'm taking my DS7 to DQ but is only 49 in. tall. He would love this ride even if he doesn't get to operate the cars.

No idea, CWIPPERMAN. I just wanted to tell you that I love your new avatar picture.

We'll be going to WDW about the same time as you. Will you be wearing your green ribbon, or are you anti-green ribbon?

Hucifer,

Thanks for the compliment on the avatar! :)

I'm not sure about the ribbon this year. I wore it religiously last year - and never saw anyone. I remember asking last year before the trip and it seemed like there weren't too many folks that had luck finding fellow Dis'ers down there. It's kind of neat that you're going the same time as me. I know you are a big fan of my site. Are you planning on wearing a ribbon?

Yes, I plan on wearing my green ribbon around my sport sack. Mostly because I love so many folks on this site and would love to bump into a few familiar names. You can't miss me and DH...he's 6'5", 270 lbs and I'm 5'4", 120 lbs. We are so opposite that we look silly next to each other...but it also means that we're easy to spot. If you spot me, my amazon boy, or my green ribbon, be sure to say hi. I would love to meet you in person.

BTW, my avatar is a fairly recent picture. Of course, it's a mere speck of a picture.

Also, I hope your question gets answered! ;) I plan on hitting DQ at least once during our visit, probably toward the end of the trip. We're going Sept 12-21. I"ve got a rough idea of which park we'll be hitting on which days, so if you're interested, I can send that to you.

Hmmm...now that I think about it, probably won't be wearing Limey when I'm at the water parks. Of course, BB and TL are closed through most of our trip, so we'll see if we even can hit them!

I have looked on a number of sites and they all just state the single 51 inch requirement.

It is the minimum height required to ride at all. My DD and DS could not ride even with an adult.

Annette
