So today I broke my personal record and got 847,000 on BLAB. I have read several websites talking about "hidden" targets that have a high value, but most of them are older threads. Anyone have any recent experiences or tips? I would love to break 1million!!! Especially since part of my score was due to a ride stoppage which I used to my advantage. :-)

THANKS

I know this isn't the info you're looking for but.....

When I take the grandkids, I switch the guns when they are distracted. They don't seem to notice the cord location. When we finish the ride they are so excited to have more points than granma.

We were told in the spring from a CM about a very small target on Zurg. They willingly told my husband when he asked, so you should just ask the next time you ride!

That is the best idea! I will definitely use that tip next summer. It always bums out my youngest that she has the lowest score out of our group. Such a sweet idea! :)

The only hidden target I know about is the tiny spot on Zurg's chest between his armor plates. You can even kind of see a small hole there. This past summer I got over a million points (Ok, I got stuck where I could shoot a triangle, but it wasn't like it was a foot away) and my score wasn't there when I went to the screens. Don't know if it is still that way, but last summer most times we went there was only the picture with no score. Very disappointing. My other tip is learn where the triangles are.

Before our trip last year I did a little internet research and went prepared to win. :cool1: I didn't tell my kids or dh and was so excited when I hit the Zurg target a couple of times. My dh's fell open when he saw my score at the end. He couldn't believe it. I have never beat him before and it was so freakin' funny.

That goes down in history as one of our funnest rides ever at Disneyland. No one could figure out how I did that. I told them I had my secrets and of course they bugged me and bugged me until I broke down and told them.

I can't wait til we get to ride again! Whoop Whoop. Hoping no one remembers the secret target because I am not giving up that info:rotfl2:

I absolutely love this-----what a great idea, and thanks for sharing!!!!:thumbsup2

I am so bad at this ride... I can never figure out where my laser is. Tips on aiming?

Only trick I know if the above mentioned hidden target on zurg (the first zurg). I would love to know any other tricks so I could FINALLY beat my DH ;)

No wonder I've never been able to find it! I always assumed the hidden target was on the last Zurg.

It's the first, biggest Zurg, on the left (and closest Zurg to the ride vehicle) and like mentioned above, it's a small hole on his chest between his armor plates. He moves side to side, so it's hard to see and hit.

As for aiming, if I'm having a hard time, I point it away from the targets (everyone else is already shooting at) and walk it up a wall. That way I can see if the laser is off from where I "think" I'm pointing it at. Sometimes it's difficult when everyone else is shooting at the same target and you can't tell if you are hitting it. Pretty sure when you hit it, the gun will vibrate and light up...but I could be wrong about that.

I've also heard if you hit every target in the ride, you get a ton of points, but I've noticed a lot of the targets aren't working lately (especially in the first room). Not sure if that is true.

Breaking a million isn't all it's cracked up to be. I did it once - it showed my score as 0 :(.

It can be hard to figure out which little red dot is the one associated with your laser when everyone is pointing at the same things! The lasers do have a small sight on the top (it looks like a green fin). I've found that not all of the lasers aim true (i.e., the sight and laser beam are not always in good alignment), so as the ride starts, just before you can actually see any of the targets, I pull the trigger to see how good/true the sight is. There is a black wall that you'll face and not many people will be aiming at the wall so you should be able to see the red dot associated with your laser. It'll at least give you a sense of how true is the aim of the laser.

As others haves aid, the spot on Zerg's chest, between the armor plate is probably the highest scoring "hidden" target. The same hidden target is on both Zergs. I think there is also a hidden target on the ceiling of the tunnel just before the last room (I can't remember if it's hidden or just awkward to get to).

there's a hidden target on both the first and last zurg.

the other hint is to make sure you aim for the pop up triangle in the last room. most people just aim for zurg, as the vehicles automatically face zurg, but the pop up triangle target is behind you.

There's 3 "hidden" targets in the tunnel.....but they aren't really hidden, just not lit up. You can see them if you look hard enough. They light up red and make an explosion sound when you hit them. And yes, one is on the ceiling ;)
