As of today Buzz Fast Passes are now connected to the other FP attractions in Disneyland.

They also moved their location outside of that cove.

My filler ride is no more.

That's good about the location change. I could see not wanting to wait in the Star Tours FP distro line just to get a Buzz FP. I have a feeling connecting it will make standby a little bit longer. A lot of people would get a Buzz FP because it was easy to get with Star Tours, and then not use it. Now if it keeps you from getting another FP and it's a separate effort to get it, people will use them if they have them.

My assumption has always been that the reason it was disconnected was because it was so easy for people to accidentally pull the wrong FP with the machines being right next to the Star Tours machines. They wanted people to be able to turn around and get the correct FP rather than needing a CM to sort out the problem. So if they moved them, problem solved. I've never actually used FP for Buzz because the line is always so short, it's one of those rides we just jump on spur of the moment to kill time. I'm actually wondering if lines will be even shorter now, because some of the people using FP might have been doing so just because it was a "free" FP, and now they might pass on the ride (or ride less frequently).

So mad about this! I often do Buzz multiple times a day. Oh well. Guess I'll just have to make due with three or four rides a day now :-(.

Bummer! This was my husband's favorite thing to do in between other thing to do! I can shop or people watch. He is more of a constant moving type of person and Buzz was great for him. He is like a big kid, but aren't we all :)

Must be a change to prepare for Max Pass.
Only bad thing it will hurt for riding the attraction multiple times.
However, the FP should still last for the entire day.

I have seen the line for Buzz get long. Not hour long, but a good 30 minutes when the parks are busy with a wrapping line around the side of the building. I like that Buzz is a quick line most of the time though. Buzz did not have FP available when we went 2 years ago, they turned it on when they turned off Autopia. I like your thought that it may have been disconnected to help with the confusion. I do wonder if they'll turn Autopia FP back on as they rev up for the new FP program with MaxPass. It makes sense as they seem to want to offer as many FP attractions as possible including things like Buzz, Pirates, and Haunted Mansion.

Shoot! This is my son's favorite ride, and those disconnected fast passes enabled us to ride Buzz to his heart's content.

This stinks. This has some great AC in the summer. Winnie the Pooh and Buzz were my go to cooling off spots.

The scoring system's been broken in a few ways in recent months and now this. What next? BYOG -- bring your own gun?
