Buying VWL points?

The ALL EARS newsletter mentioned that there are points for sale at VWL for 30 days. I am wondering how this can be and why I haven't read anything about it on this board?

Actually, there was someone here who just bought VWL.

DVD set an arbitrary date to stop selling VWL (Feb 2, 2002), and guessed that they would have 98% sold by that point (keeping 2% for mtc, and cash ressies ect...). I think they still have a coulple percent left to sell, as it is impossible to to pick a date in the future that VWL would be exactly 98% sold.
I think many use years are gone.

There have been a couple of discussions about VWL sales being available to new members on this board in the last 2 weeks.

VWL did not completely sell out last Feb, but new sales were suspended to begin BCV sales and allow existing members to add on at VWL. It appears that VWL has not completly sold out to the extent DVC anticipated and they have reopened sales at that resort for a brief period.

Anyone know if the VWL is still availabale? I spoke to my guide back in Oct. and he said that it was only for the month of Oct. We are waiting for our house to go through a refinance and didn't want to jeoperdize that by buying a large financed item such as the DVC. Well we finally got a settlement date of 11/14 and we want to go ahead a buy at the VWL if it's available.

Our Guide put us on the waitlist for VWL add-on points. If we don't get them by 11-30, we will add-on at BCV.

Rumors said VWL was being sold from DVC directly and I confirmed those. This is the first I've read of it only being October...does anyone know for sure?
