Buying Universal ticket at Kroger(ga)

I was at Kroger yesturday and I was looking at tall the gift cards they had and I saw one for a Universal/IOA ticket for 7 days it was 89.99 plus tax and it said to take it to the park and get your ticket. Has anyone done that before? Thats cheaper then the 99 at the gate, just wondering if at the gate you would have to pay xtra. Thanks

Was it for unlimited visits for both parks?

yes, it was the 7 day 2park just like at the park. I didnt understand how they could sell that for cheaper then the gate price, when u have to exchange it for a ticket at the gate or service center.

Maybe it is a special deal with Kroger. We were able to get the military companion tickets for $89. through the base so they are available cheaper.

BTW the $99.99 rate is if they are bought online. They are $124. 99 plus tax at the gate. http://www.universalorlando.com/tickets.html
