Buying tickets with giftcards

Is there a way to buy your tickets for the parks with Disney giftcards?

Do you have a package or do you just want to purchase the tickets separate? You can use the gift cards either way. If you call Disney or a travel agent then they will take the card info and apply it to your purchase. You can also purchase tickets at at discount through places like Undercover Tourist. You can use gift cards on there too. They are applied like a credit card.

I don't know if it's true for buying tickets, but I went to upgrade tickets at the Guest Relations inside City Hall in MK and I could use no more than 3 forms of payment per transaction. Each GC is a separate form of payment.

You can pay for tickets, room, and dining plans with gift cards. I was told by Disney there is no limit on the amount accepted by phone (don't know about at the gate?). You can obviously use them in the parks as well.

If you have a Red Card at Target (either Debit or Credit), you get 5% off their gift cards. Their Disney cards only come in $25 or $50 increments, but there is no limit in how much you can purchase with the discount or how many you can use. So, you can save a lot if you're willing to buy a lot of $50 gift cards. That 5% adds up!

We used gift cards to buy our tickets. We bought our tickets at the resort. We used 5 gift cards and it took forever. I don't think the lady that helped us had much experience with someone paying that way. It wasn't a problem, it just took longer swiping multiple cards instead of just one.

I had used my Target red card to buy the gift cards and we used them to buy our tickets and food. It was nice just grabbing a card or two when we left in the morning and not having to worry about keeping track of cash or debit/credit cards.

As long as you are not getting them as part of a package and are b uying them at WDW (and not an off-site discounter) there is no limit to the numbed of Disney Gift Cards applied to a ticket purchase (or upgrade)

This procedure changed about two years ago. If more recent, you got a CM who did not know what it was doing.

That CM was incorrect. I bought over $2000 in tickets in Jan paid for w/ $50 GCs. I did it at the MK ticket window. It took a while and my receipt was like a mile long but that was the extent of it. No issues at all.

Can we use unlimited gift cards for undercover tourist? And these are the Disney.com gift cards that target sells?

Good to know you can use more than 3 forms of payment for ticket purchases and upgrades. My ticket upgrade amount is like $600 so I would surly need to use more than 3 gift cards for that.

Btw I was at SAMs tonight and they had the disney $100 with $10 store card on the shelf. I have purchased these many times at this location but they disappeared I figured sold out. Well when I tryed to purchase 4 of them they would not activate, so I could not purchase dang it.

Thanks for letting me know. This happened this past February. I figured maybe it was a limitation of Guest Relations but it seems it was a knowledge gap. I'll keep this in mind for the future.
