Hello, if I were to purchase tickets online from Disney website, and have a hotel reservation onsite but purchased separately, would I be able to make FP+ Reservations immediately if within 60 days. Or would I have to wait for some paper tickets to arrive in mail? Thank you

Hello, if I were to purchase tickets online from Disney website, and have a hotel reservation onsite but purchased separately,

1. would I be able to make FP+ Reservations immediately if within 60 days.

2. Or would I have to wait for some paper tickets to arrive in mail? Thank you

1. Yes. Instantly.

2. Do not order the tickets to be sent to you.
Order the tickets as "WILL CALL."
(And, since you'll have MagicBands, you will not actually ever need to pick up the actual tickets
at Will Call, unless you just WANT to do so.)

And, BTW, there are no longer any "paper" tickets issued at WDW.
All tickets are plastic cards with internal RFID chips.

Wow thanks for the quick reply . Question though, I will need to link these tickets to MDE, will the receipt from website give me some ticket# that I can link? Thanks again.

PS - the whole reason I just don't make resort reservation a "package" is because I don't want pay in full 45 days in advance , along with losing deposit if I cancel

I've found that if you're registered with MDE the tickets will pop up immediately in MDE. or you can use the confirmation number that you receive when you purchase the tickets over the phone. This worked for me as we did a super last minute trip on Sunday (as in throw a bag in the car and make a reservation at the Swan on the way out the door). I could purchase on the website but they seemed want to automatically link to an existing BC reservation that I have for March. I called the WDW reservation line and was able to purchase over the phone. The confirmation number that the CM gave me worked in the link tickets page and I could instantly book FP+.

As for your logic behind not booking a package I'm the same way. My husband works ER and even with a firm schedule in hand things come up and shifts have to be modified. The 45 day window causes me all kinds of headaches.
