My family is going on our first trip to Disneyland this October! It is a surprise for my daughter's 7th birthday. We are on a strict budget so I have to save money were I can. The buy 3 days get one free offer on Orbitz sounds good.

Has anyone had any experience with Orbitz? Do the tickets have to be used on the dates that were specified at purchase? Also if my trip gets canceled can the park ticket vouchers be applied next year toward the cost of new tickets? I just want to make sure I understand how this works before I spend hundreds of dollars! Are there better deals out there? Should I wait awhile to by park tickets?

I've purchased tickets through them 2x and everything was fine. I would contact them about the date change because I think it says in the fine print that the tickets are only valid for the dates you choose and can't be changed or cancelled???

I've purchased my tickets from them a few times. They have always worked perfectly, except when I was thinking of changing my dates. Neither Orbitz or Disney could give me an answer whether or not they would work for later dates, Orbitz would tell me to call Disney and Disney would tell me to call Orbitz. We ended up switching the kid trip to later and went on an adult trip instead and were able to pick up their tickets and use them within the same year with no problem. So I would only recommend them if your dates are set or you have a way of picking them up at least during those dates.

Get Away Today does price matching, and I bet the would price match Orbitz ...but not the ebates deal, I don't think. But GAT has $20 piece of mind insurance you can buy so you can change dates or get a refund up to the time you first scan your tickets for park entry. That's what we do. It's too much money to risk something coming up and losing out.

I am curious about what Orbitz would do if you had to cancel, because sometimes those ebates deals are pretty good!

I'm editting to add that it's $20 for the whole transaction, not each ticket.

I have used Get Away Today and Orbitz we did take our tickets to the booth I believe the day before with our Orbitz tickets and they gave us out tickets with out a problem and mentioned nothing about anything with the dates.

So is the Orbitz deal a voucher that you have to exchange for tickets when you arrive at DLR?

That is interesting about GAT...are they actually tickets or a voucher like Orbitz? And do you just email them to get them to price match? The Orbitz deal makes me nervous for some reason!

I got their phone number and ticket information for GAT from their website. Then I called them, and gave them the information for where I could find cheaper tickets. They put me on hold, verified the information, then came back and gave me the matched price. At that time I added the insurance. They sent me a confirmation email, but I didn't even need that. Just went to the ticket booth the night before our first park day, showed them my ID, and picked up the tickets. We could have just done it in the morning, but I wanted to get it done before to save time in the morning.

That is also what I did with my Orbitz and GAT tickets went to the ticket booths the evening before I don't THINK they are the ones you can just take to the gate I believe both you have to exchange at the ticket counter
