Buying tickets from SoG

We'll be buying the new discounted tickets through SoG (the ones that replaced the Magic Your Way tickets). Has anyone bought these yet? How was the process? Did you have to talk to them on the phone and send in a form or just order over the phone? How much of a discount did you get? I've read that they will be at least 20% off with the possibility of a higher discount depending on the date.

The website indicates "approximately 20% cheaper" so I wouldn't expect a discount significantly more than that. Prices will be date-specific and the tickets may have a shorter use-window than the old MYW 14-days. SOG recommends checking the WDW website for ticket prices for your specific dates and calculating a 20% discount for an idea of pricing.

I have used SOG in the past but not for the specific tickets you are referring to now. However, when I ordered you had to complete a form and email it in. They then called me to get my credit card number. By looking at SOG's website it seems like that is the same procedure. Just order in plenty of time. When I have done before it could take like 2 weeks for them even to even process and call me to get my card #. But then tickets shipped quickly, I think FedEx 2nd day.

SOG is a great place to get your tickets from. You send in your form and they call you when they are ready to process it.
The general rule of thumbs is about 20% savings from what I've seen.

Can someone please let me know what SoG is? Apologies if this is a commonly used acronym. Thanks in advance.

We plan to purchase these tickets in September. I can call the Shades of Green Ticket office tomorrow but maybe someone knows. We don't know the exact date we'll use them. Will we be able to continue to change the start date (maybe pay the difference if higher) on MDE indefinitely so long as we make the change before the start date?

That is a really good question and I don't have an answer. Please let us know what you find out.

Since WDW doesn't actually sell the military discount tickets, I'd be afraid that changing them in MDE would "upgrade" to regular date-based tickets (without the discount) -- thereby losing any discount you originally had.

We used Shades of Green for tickets for this first time this year. It was super easy! My DH is a service connected veteran, so he had to be the one to purchase the tickets. I filled out the form from their website, he signed it, and I emailed it on 3/1/25. They called DH on 3/6/25. He answered their questions, provided our credit card number, and we had the tickets emailed to us the same day. I added them to MDE the same day without issue.

Our 6-day PH tickets were $611.94 each for a 5/11/25 start. I just checked Disney and directly they cost $822.86 which is 25.6% off. The Disney price is after tax - the SOG tickets do not have tax added which accounts for the extra percentage off, I think. The pre-tax Disney price is $772.64, so the SOG price is 20.7% off that. Hope this helps! I was really curious how the pricing would work too and was very happy!

Our tickets are 6-day Park Hoppers that are valid starting 5/11/25 through 5/19/25. So, looks like they are less than 14 days and the same as tickets purchased through Disney.

In March we were quoted 4-6 days and it was 5 days until they called. When I emailed the confirmation email gave us the expected turnaround time. I don't know if they still ship tickets upon request, but ours were emailed the same day.

I would think this would be the case. I don't know how the discount is actually calculated but I'm skeptical it "sticks" in Disney's system once the tickets are in MDE.
