Buying the annaul pass

So I have 2 trips planned this year starting in August and then October. Going to get the family an annual pass figured to get down again for a few days during the 365 days it's valid. Question is when I buy it does it load in the MDE app so I can book fast passes 60 days out. How does it work has anyone else done this before?

If you purchase on-line, it should ask you to link them to profiles from your Family & Friends list in MDE.

If you purchase by phone, you would be able to link either the will call confirmation or exchange certificate ID numbers (depending on delivery method).

Once linked to MDE, you can make FP+ selections up to 30 days prior to day of yse. If you also have a resort reservation linked to MDE, you will be able to make FP+ selections beginning at 60 days from check-in.

You will still need to stop at either a Guest Relations or Park Ticket Window to exchange for the actual passes. The expiration of the passes will be one year from when the CM hands you the actual pass.

This is something I hadn't thought about. DW and I are going in December, and we were planning to buy AP's. In order to be able to book FP+, I guess I'll need to purchase them before our trip, is that correct? And if that's correct, is there any reason not to buy them now seeing that the discount isn't guaranteed and there may be the annual price increase? I've never purchased AP's on line, so I don't know what to expect. Are you saying that there will be a confirmation number or will get a certificate sent to me? And then, since I have already created an MDE for the trip, I'll be able to link this to them? I just want to make sure I'm not activating them because I'm planning two trips 51 weeks apart in order to get full use from them. Can you explain if this is correct?
