Both my 8 year old daughter and I scrapbook. We noticed there is a scrapbooking store at downtown disney - is it expensive or should we just wait until we get home and start our albums?

Well.... it is not TOO expensive and they do have some "exclusive" things that you won't find just anywhere, so you have to pick and choose. I would get some of the exclusive papers, stickers, punches and maybe the album, but I wouldn't bother to buy "regular" stuff (adhesives, plain paper). Look around at your local scrapping/crafting store before you go to see what is available nationally.... then when you look while you are at WDW, you will know what is "special" and what is more common. Wish I had bought a castle punch while I was there!! I haven't seen those elsewhere.... but the mickey punches (full body, head, and mini-head) are available everywhere. Also check some of the online scrapping sources, such as www.scrapyourtrip.com and www.mousememories.com
Have fun!.....P

Thanks - I have already purchase a Disney Mickey Mouse Vintage Embossed Scrapbook Album by Sandylion - am I going to be disappointed when I see the albums they have? I told my daughter she can get a small album to make her own if she wants.

I live in a small town - no actual store but a supplier. She has some stuff but not very much given that not all clients would be looking for disney stuff. I can't wait to see the store!

You might be disappointed...Disney often has great albums and there is definitely stuff at WDW that you can't get locally.

Is the store fairly big? I know I won't have too much time to spend at DTD, but in a scrapbook store I could spend forever!!! I know this is where I'm going to buy some soveiners ;) !

No, the scrap store at DTD is not big and you definitely don't need to worry about saving a big block of time for it like you might for World of Disney.

Don't get too excited about the scrap store, you'll probably wind up disappointed. They had a few things, but nothing that exciting, believe me.
