Hi everyone. Thanks again for all of the helpful advice. My wife and I have gone ahead and filled out the contract for points at Saratoga Springs. This will make us first time DVC members. We had debated, as many of you may recall, with stopping our purchase of new points and trying a resale. We really like the 50 year aspect of SSR, and while resales would save us money now, new points appears to be a better value in the long run.
So, the package went back out today via the enclosed FedEx package.
I didn't waste any time, and made our first reservations today! We'll be arriving July 26, and staying for 7 nights. We want to take it slow, and we realize we won't see a lot (remember, we'll have a 23 1/2 month son with us). He loved seeing the characters on the cruise, and he got so happy when he saw Goofy on a Disney special on the Travel Channel. When the rep at MS asked who was coming I mentioned our son. She said "ok, so there will be a pack-n-play waiting for you in your room." It was so thoughtful and accomodating that I didn't have the heart to tell her that Ben already sleeps in a bed. So obviously my experience so far is very positive.
My love of Disney has turned into an obsession over night, and I'm loving every minute of it!
