Here's the sitch: I bought the 4 day park hoppers with no pluses. Great deal for the buckage. The kids inform me that they really want to go to a water park. Where were these guys when DH and I were discussing the ticket media for our trip? We plan to be there for 4 park days, hence the 4 day park hoppers. We figured that we wouldn't have time for a water park. The kids think it's important. We're going down in October, I figure that we can slide into Typhoon Lagoon on Monday morning of our trip and leave around 3ish, and still make it back to MK for a fun evening. However, is there any way I can get discounted tickets for Typhoon Lagoon? I have an annual pass, which will net me a $4 discount. Is buying someone else's old pass a legitimate thing? Thanks for the help.

Passes are "not transferable" according to Disney rules.

In addition, you wouldn't have any reliable way to identify how many days or plus features are left on any specific pass unless you had it scanned right at the parks.

October is a long time off yet. Who knows how the weather or park hours will be. If park hours are short, you may not have time to do a water park. I would just wait until I got there and then if there was time, but water park tickets.
I definitely would not risk buying used passes for the pluses. Too risky.

also October will have MNSSHP nights not yet announced and you might hit one or more of those when MK will close early and only reopen to party guests with tickets.
I assume you mean you have One annual pass and bought the hoppers for the others in your party. You can upgrade the hoppers when you get there.

I wouldn't buy used passes. You run the risk of buying them from someone who either KNOWS they are not good anymore (ie. all plus features have been used up) or someone with good intentions who really doesn't know or doesn't remember that they used their plusses up.

I have an annual pass. My family doesn't have passes. These passes are for them. Antonia, I hadn't thought that the weather might be bad. It seems like good advice to wait until we get there to worry about the water park tickets. Another question: Is it possible to upgrade the passes that I bought from ticketmania?

You should be able to upgrade the tickets you bought from Ticketmania. But you may not want to.

If you upgrade them, you'll only get credit for the amount Disney sold them to Ticketmania for- NOT what you paid for them.

The ticket brokers buy them and then mark them up with a profit to sell to you. Disney's not going to give you any credit for that profit that Ticketmania collected.

Make sense?

Thanks for the help! I talked to my kids. I told them the weather might not be good for water parks in late October/early November. I also suggested that, if they want to go to a water park, they could pay for their own ticket at the AP rate. I have an AP.
