Quick question for anyone that knows the procedure for Deed/Notice and resale. We closed on our resale contract, and when I search on the OCC website it has a Notice with our names and the sellers name. Is this our recorded Deed? I thought we'd also have a Deed filed, but does the Deed always stay under the original owners name?
I've never bought through resale and this is our first DVC contract. I'm wondering when I can start the final countdown to getting our member number.
TIA

The actual deed should appear and you should be able to find it under your name by putting last name first then first name in either the either party box or grantee box when doing a search. I do not know when you closed but it often takes a week or more before it is recorded and put on the OCC's website. You don't say what the "notice" document is but I am guessing that is the waiver of right of first refusal that Disney provided for the closing and usually that gets recorded at the same time as the deed. When actual recording occurs does not impact on when you get member number. That depends on when closing occurs and closing documents are provided to Disney, which then can take a couple weeks and possibly more to get you in its system.

Yeah that's what the notice is it's the ROFR. So there will be something filed under Deed with our names? Oh wait I think I see what I'm doing wrong. I still have Disney in the first box. I'm gonna check now.
