A few months ago I saw a thread on buying trading pins in bulk and they were very inexpensive, does anyone know where I can find pins cheap?

I buy pins from eBay but the large lots for super cheap are generally scrapper pins (fakes). If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a Collector's Board, there you will find a thread titled "good/bad eBay sellers", pop in there and page 1 has a huge list of good/bad sellers. The finding on that thread are from others who post here on the Dis, we post our own personal experiences with sellers. Hope to see you there. :)

I ordered off of ebay for pins for the kids at Christmas. This was my first time ever using ebay and I had a great experience! Ordered Monday afternoon, had confirmation that they shipped by Mon night, and had pins in my hand on Wed. Here's who I used:

Good luck!

ETA - OK, I guess I've been had! Everyone else is saying stay away from this vendor. Maybe they're authentic, maybe not. I'll have to see how trading goes in Dec. ???

Also have bought several times for from TradePinsForYou. Super fast shipping and I've NEVER received a fake pin from them. We've also never received duplicates. And this last order I won for less than $1/pin including shipping

I highly recommend mousepinsonline.com They sell grab bags of pins. We've never had any trouble trading their pins. It's so much fun to get a grab bag and get to look through them. My dd usually finds several she wants to keep then she trades the rest of them.

Very easy to order, nice to talk to on the phone or via e-mail if you have a question - highly recommended!

Thank you so much for the quick responses, I am going to look into all of them. My trip is not until Oct but I thought the Easter Bunny could bring some for my DD & . ;)

I've bought off of ebay for each of our trips from various sellers. I've never paid over a $1 a pin including shipping...just have to be patient and watch lots of auctions...I go for some of the larger lots (50 or 100) but read feedback and the listing closely to be sure you aren't getting the really cheapos.

Pins on ebay for around a dollar are fake and cheap looking. As suggested go to the collectors board for good and bad ebay sellers. There are tips there so you won't end up with fake pins.

Actually, that's not true on the auctions (but could be for the BINs). I won a lot last week, paid less than a $1 a pin including shipping and NONE of them are fake.

I was going to say the same. I have never gotten bad pins, but I watch lots and lots of auctions and read lots and lots of feedback everytime I go to buy pins. We get lots of LE and Hidden Mickeys each time. ONe time my girls were upset because there were so many keepers and not traders..:rotfl:

I agree! And if you get on their email list, you will find out when they have specials. I just got an email the other day for 25 pins for $1.65 each. I've gotten several batches and all have been good.

I just wanted to add for the OP's info, not to be afraid to buy a big lot-50 or so pins. You will trade them all AND probably wish you had bought more!! It's not unusual for my DSs and I to trade 6 or 8 pins a day each. Of course, part of it is also having to give up some pins you like for others you like more, but we always go with a big bunch so we don't have to do that.

As long as it has the Disney logo on the bag, you can trade it.

Does mousepins still sell the funky propins?

They do sell them, but I'm pretty sure they're not included in the grab bags; this is what it says on their website: The pins in our Grab Bags are the same pins listed individually in our online store. Grab Bags may include Cast Lanyard pins, Hidden Mickey pins, as well as pins you would purchase at Disney resorts and parks. We do not sell EuroDisney pins or Sedesma Disney pins.

Tradepinsforyou does not. The lot of 60 I got last week had TONS of hidden mickey and LE this time too!!!!

I bought 100's of pins years ago, back when they were about $3 a shot on cheappins. I've finally run out, and need to buy more!

We just bought some too and plan on filling Easter Eggs with them instead of so much candy. I actually plan to buy another lot closer to when we go because last time they spent a fortune on pins last time wanting "just one more..."
