Buying passports in advance

My DH and I have Florida seasonal passports that expire in May. We are planning a trip to Disney next Christmas and will need yearly passports. We thought we would buy now and get then before prices go up the beginning of the year. So I called MS and tried to buy 2 passports. Well they woud not sell them to me. They said I already passports that did not expire until May. Apparently Disney has a policy that you cannot own more than one passport at a time. News to me. (And they don't know we have 4 extra seasonal passports that we bought from AAA.) Has anyone else owned multiple passports?

Never heard of that. I would call back on Tuesday and try again. You can also order online through the member website. The member discount for Florida residents is only $20, if you can't get them through member services, you may want to try CRO or your local AAA (at regular price).

I know they won't let you renew existing passports early (i.e., take advantage of the renewal discount) but they should let you purchase wholly new passports at any time.
