Buying Park Hoppers at Resort???

If I wait and buy our park hoppers at our Resort will they be the same price as online??? We are leaving in 2 weeks , if I call and order them will they have them at the front desk when we check in ??? We usually buy a package and this time we have a room only and I feel so clueless.

If you buy them at check-in you'll pay the standard rates. There is a nominal discount if you purchase them before check-in... a few dollars each it seems.

When I asked this to the person on the phone I was told it is the advanced purchase price at the hotel-only at the gates is it the regular price. Anyone know for sure?

I don't think you actually save very much booking a package. We have both times for convenience.

For your first question - once you are on property I believe the ticket prices are the same everywhere. I don't think there is any savings to be had by purchasing the tickets at the hotel or at the gate to the themepark. They are all the same price is my understanding.

HOWEVER, you CAN buy the tickets from the Reservations Center in advance and STILL not buy a package if you prefer to do things that way.

Example:

I booked a room only reservation for March of 2007. My intention was to purchase tickets upon arrival.

When I called back to add a person to the reservation, the CM asked if I wanted to add tickets to the room. I was instantly confused, because I presumed that made it a package.

She indicated that I could order and give her a credit card for the tickets RIGHT THEN on the phone and purchase them at the advance rates. The different was about 3-5$ per ticket. This would NOT make my room only reservation a package. I had no idea they did that to be perfectly honest. But since I wasn't sure about one of the people travelling and the savings wasn't that significant, I decided not to take the plunge and buy the tickets on the phone. So, I declined that option.

After we checked in, I walked over to the Guest Services desk right beside check-in and added the tickets then and there. Easy as pie.

I preferred the flexibility of NOT having purchased the tickets prior to arrival. That's just how I roll.

You can also go to your local Disney Store and buy tickets, they are the same price as ordering on line. Try Undercover Tourist they have the best prices, and are an approved Disney broker, cheaper than Disney. Their prices include taxes already with D you have to add the tax. Example D 5 day park hopper is $263. and UT is 248.95. Hope this is of some help.

To the OP: you can call and order the tickets (getting the advance purchase price) and have them held for "will call". That way you pay no shipping. When you arrive at your resort, the Lobby Concierge can add your will call tickets to your KTTW as long as they are not annual or FL resident ticket media. Drawback is that you will have to pay the full amount for the tickets when you order them, not when you check in.

This year we got free dining, so I had to get one day passes for everyone because my mother is an AP holder. In order for her to get the dining she had to get at least a one day pass.

I'm told that I can take the one day passes and upgrade them to whatever we actually need (10 day hoppers) when we get there. I'm assuming I go to guest services for that?

I was think when I get there I was going to upgrade to 10 passes and no expration it seems like I read some where that this can be done at any park.

I'm considering upgrading from MYW regular tickets to Park Hoppers. Does anyone know if I can do that at hotel registration? Anyone know off the top of their heads what that costs per adult and child?
