I know there are more than a few of us out there!

Well we lost the house we bid on and freaked out b/c we thought we had looked at everything. We managed to find one more Weds. night that was even better than the one we bid on. Called Thurs. morning and it had sold right before we had called!
So we went out last night and found 2 we could love and are going to put in a bid as soon as we can on one. If we don't get that one we will try for the other.
The one we like is a split level and the back up is a ranch. Both are one y.o.
Now we just need to sell our house!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is what worries me. Anyone want a 2 bedroom ranch in great condition in KC?

Sonya-I'm right here with you!

Our house has been on the market almost a month. We've had lots of lookers but no offers.

As for finding a house, I spend countless hours on the internet looking. We're an hour away from where we are moving so we've only been looking "in person" twice.

Anyone want a nice 3-4 br split near Akron Ohio?

I went through this last year. I also lost the first house we bid on. There was some kind of funny business going on with the realtor for the seller. They ended up accepting a lower offer than ours because the buyer was represented by the same agency. Whatever. I'm thrilled that it didn't work out.

We looked everywhere.....10-15 houses every weekend for 2-3 months! Finally, we found a builder who was building a sub-division of 7 homes. We contracted with him and built our home. It took 90 days to close because the lender was in MA and we decided to buy (build) in NH at the last minute. The lender put us through complete he$$ for 90 days. At one point I told them to keep their money because I don't want the house anymore. I threatened to sue them and they finally quieted down. But, it was soooo worth it. I love my house and have (almost) gotten over the misery. So, keep your chin up because it all works itself out and it's all worth it in the end.

:D

We have been house hunting since Oct..looked at the same house 4 times before we finally decided to bid on it..it had been on the market 6 months with no bids..and on the same day that we bid..someone else did!!!..or so the seller's real estate agent said..our agent told us that the sellers were going to work with the other people since they were paying "cash"..(well guess what?..so were we!)
anyhow..5 days later..we went and looked at another house that had only been on the market 2 days..fell in love with it instantly..put a bid on it 2 hrs after viewing it..the sellers accepted within 24 hours..and 3 weeks from today is our closing date!!!!!!!
the other day I was looking at real estate ads..and guess what I found?..the first house..the one that was supposedly "sold" to someone else..was back on the market!
Worked out well for us..but I hope that those other sellers have to wait another 6 months for a buyer..would serve them right!

Bumping..........

We had 2 showings this weekend. No bids yet.

We looked at 2 houses yesterday, the first one was so dirty! If they'd drop the price about 1/3 we could afford it and clean it up. The second house is really nice but ..........I don't think it's "my" house.

Frustration level.........9 :(
