Buying MYW ticket for guest

Hi! DH and I both have PAPs thanks to the great DVC discount. During our September trip we will have a friend from Canada staying with us for 5 nights. We will be in a one bed at OKW until she arrives, we then check into a two bed, then back down to a one bed when she leaves.

I want to treat her to a 4 day park ticket with hopping. Can I just buy it at the front desk when I check in? Or must she be there? If I want it put on her room card can I do that if DH and I dont have it? I have told a bit of a white lie, in that I have told her we get the passes really cheap as a DVC perk. I would rather buy it when she is not there so she isn't embarrassed about the cost or worse still feels obliged to pay. Any suggestions?

The least expensive way to do this is to buy it ahead of time either on the Disney web site or at the Disney store. You get a presale discount that way, but the price will be a bit higher at the resorts. We just did this for our adult kids for our New Years trip. They will get the cards as their Christmas gift. I was able to get 10 day hopper MYW tickets on the Disney site, but the store only has up to 7 day passes.

We took a last minute trip and did not have time to get park passes ahead of time. We purchased our ticked at BWV when we checked in. I assume all of the DVC resorts would be able to do it. You can just put her park pass on her room key.

The cheapest tickets are often from ticketmania or another broker. Order it in advance and then you can just hand it to her. If you are a mousesavers subscriber, there are some special deals (saves you another few dollars).
