We just wrap in bubble wrap & place in a large Ziploc and pack it. Never have had an issue. Getting an Uber to the nearest store is minimal!

I was suprised to find the 350ML of Maker's Mark at most deluxe gift shops is not that marked up. A couple of bucks more than your package store.
