You are able to carry it onto plane. I usually put my hilt in carry on and just carry blade with me to put under seat.

You bring it on the plane with you. It's just another piece of carry on. There's nothing special you have to do.

We did this when we went to Disneyland and just brought them on board as a 2nd carry on.

Same here, we just brought it on the plane as a carry on. Laid right in the overhead bins

If you don't want to carry it on to the plane, you can ship it straight from one of the stores in Galaxy's Edge.

I think it's worth taking apart before flying. The hilt makes one end of the thing much heavier than the other end, which makes it awkward to carry if you're juggling children or other carry on bags. I'd take the hilt off and sick it in with your socks, then carry just the blade on.

Just don't ignite it on the plane; you could rip a hole in the hull.
