Buying from a guide other than your own?

I was told that after today, the AKV UY would be later than the current one of March and my guide said she would call me today from her cell since it is her day off to see if I was going to purchase. We are going to purchase and I don't want to lose the March UY, so should I just call DVC and see if I can get things rolling through another guide? I will definitely tell them that my guide should get the credit for the sale since this isn't really her fault.

Thoughts?

You can call and explian the problem and they should have another guide help you.

If your guide provided you with her cell phone number and you want to proceed with a purchase then give her call. She can then decide to run the paperwork or have one of her co-workers do it for her. That should take care of the getting credit concern.

I closed my deal late Saturday PM for a Feb UY at AK, so they know the deadlines and will help you get what you want.

I've posted on another thread, but here are some thoughts I've had based on my recent interaction.

During our AKV tour our guide indicated that Disney is pushing construction to get done earlier. It is my guess that due to this accelerated availablity of rooms they were able to make available earlier UY. I got Feb 07 UY with a comment that it would expire last Friday. It now seems that March UY is available, for another short period.

Prior to this happening the previous UY for AKV was June, so Feb and March is nice bonus.

Thanks, I just sent the contract through via another guide and she assured me the original guide would get all credit and would do all followup from here on out. The March usage year is great for us since now we have points available now and then get more before our trip next July!!
