As a new DVC member, is there someplace that I can go to buy DVC branded merchandise, like T Shirts, caps etc?

This is something DVC and Disney really drops the ball on. I asked this same question right after we purchased and I cannot tell you how many times I've seen it asked since on these boards.

It's ridiculous that they don't make an effort to make this stuff available online and that there's not more available in the shops when you're there. It would be easy money for them and it's free advertising too.

We got free ball caps when we went to Welcome Home Wednesday when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Nothing in the shops intrigued us.

Couldn't agree with you more. Hope you're reading these boards, DVC!

We'll be at SSR in early October... Can we buy DVC mugs, hats and window decals?

It is silly. They should at least have it available on the members online site. Not like Disney to turn down a $.:confused3

The very limited amount of DVC merchandise is a sore spot with me. I was just at WDW and visited each DVC resort (except OKW) and there was much less available than posted on dvcnews. The Boardwalk only had one shirt and just a few little things! I called wdw mail order, and some of the DVC merch has been discontinued; seemingly without anything added to replace it. I sent an email to members services about making merch avail via the web (as it is with Disney Adventures) and about increasing the amount of merch, since many members (like me!) want to show it off. I think they missed the point. The response I received just stated that merchandise was available via mail order.

Not helpful.

I'm so glad someone asked this question. I was thinking about asking the same thing. We were there in June last and we didn't think there was much to offer at all. We did ask about it because we've noticed that the merchandice has gotten less and less on our last few trips. Even at DVC exclusive resorts. We asked at the store and again asked a DVC cast member. We were told by both people that they were trying to get rid of the merchandice they had because they thought they were changing the logo. Maybe they only said that because they couldn't think of another reason, but we thought it was very strange that two different people would be saying the same thing.

I know that I would easily spend hundreds of dollars on DVC mechandise......if it was out there; and apparently I am not the only one. Just think about that for awhile Disney DVC management. People wanting to give you money and you are missing the opportunity. :confused3

Wow, we were at welcome home wednesdays a couple of weeks ago and got hats also! Sorry we missed you Dodie!

I wouldn't having some more DVC stuff available as well. We have a coffee mug, t-shirt and a cap and that is about it. My DW and DD brought back several items they received at a DVC meet and greet while on Disney Cruise.

And DVC is totally missing the free advertising. Every time I wear my SSR DVC Tshirt (which has since been discontinued), I get questions about DVC.
