Hiya

Me again

Well this year we are going with my brother and his family, and my sister in law in very big into collecting disney snowglobes.

Im just a bit worried that you cant bring them back with you, any ideas?

Also she has her heart set on buying the villains snowglobe? that she saw a few years ago, any ideas where to get that one?

Any rough pricing guides or guides to whats for sale snow globe wise

We brought a snow globe back with us last year we just kept it with us as hand luggage we didn't have any problems.

I'm a WDCC collector and I brought back a few pieces with me, these were stored in the main luggage and there was no problem with them at all, they are so well packed in their own boxes so I really wouldn't worry, we did make sure that they were surrounded by clothes for extra protection.

As for prices, they are roughly in dollars what we pay in pounds. So about $70-$80. If your friend saw the snowglobe a few years ago it's likely that you won't find it in Disney now.

There are plenty of them on Ebay however!!

I put 2 in my luggage last time and bought another 3 at the airport and took them on as hand luggage had no problems at all.

Me too :) I was worried before doing it but it was fine.

I have paid anywhere from $20 to $80 for fullsize snowglobes in Orlando :)

we have bought them back in our suit cases before and like others have said they have always been fine, I would try the shop in DTD for them they stock a lot of figurines and snow globes I seem to remember
good luck :)

The family we took with us last year bought me the large disney villains snowglobe as a thank you, its beautiful but huge! it came packed in a fitted polystyrene box and I brought it home in my case as it was too big to carry, apart from theobvious problem of fitting it in it was fine, not damaged at all.

I've brought a few fragile pieces home with me, but usually I have had Disney ship them over to us. They send them DHL so they usually turn up within a week of us arriving home. However, you need to be careful as customs fees are often charged.

As long as they are secure and well padded they should be fine in the hold.

i buy a snowglobe every trip as a memento,i pack them in the suitcase surrounded by lots of clothes, never broke 1 yet.

The huge Disney store at DTD had villain's snowglobes in Jan. 2006, during our last visit. I so wanted it, but the cases were already overloaded with clothes and a giant Stitch. I have purchased the white and gold Malificent and the Wicked Queen, they travelled as hand luggage, I was not lettting them out of my sight!
