Actually 3 parts.
1st. Did Theme Park Connection put MouseSurplus out of Business?
2nd, Have you noticed that the Disney Outlets (Character Connection,Disney Character Warehouse) no longer have the amazing deals on Disney toys, clothing, etc?
3rd.Do you find the selection of mechandise available on the Offical Disney Mechandise website to be limited.
What I see is that Theme Park Connection ( just moved into a 15k ft facility )
has TONS of Disney props, signage, collectables, available both in store and online. While the MouseSurplus site (Ebay) is empty. While TPC has an amazing selection their prices can be expensive especially for collectors (me) or someone who dabbles in reselling.
I noticed several years ago the Disney Outlet Store at the Prime Outlets ( closest to Disney) started remodeling the store and soon thereafter the "deals" went away.We found great deals on Adult Disney Clothing,Polos,Tee's,Sweats that included the zip up hoodie and the pants ( I ppaid 25 dollars for a set and the hoodie has a small Grumpy on the front and a larger one on the back).Every now and then you will find a decent buy on overstock seasonal (christmas) merchandise. But it appears that these "outlets" are more into full retail pricing now.
While I do look at the offical Disney Merchandise site,I find their selection to be pretty limited on pretty much everything.
I know a number of people with kids that one parent would sneek away to the outlet and buy their Disney toys etc and bring them back to surprise their little ones.....for HALF of what they would have paid in the parks.
Maybe its just me, but the Disney Bargin Hunters are having a tough time finding the bargins, I was all about the "Thrill of the Chase" to find a good Disney Bargin.
