Buying Disney cards vs, straight savings

DVC dues. That's a big bill on the cc right after Christmas. I try to purchase gift cards along the way to soften the blow. I also have used them for ticket purchases, to pay for tours. As for having to cancel my trip, since 1987 (my first trip) I've only had to cancel in the past year due to the pandemic but I know I'll be back. Those DVC dues come every January whether you have a trip or have to cancel one. For me it works.

I love to use my Amex cobalt card for them at Metro / Sobeys you get 5x the rewards and then travel is a 2x redemption. I’m also DVC so they are perfect for paying dues.
