Hello,

My wife and I have mulled over DVC since visiting in 2016. The wife loves poly and so do the boys (5 & 6).
We are pulling the trigger on 200 direct with the current inventices.

I tried in vain to get her to look at BLT or any other resale but no luck. Ultimately it is her new car money we are using so like they all say.

Happy wife, happy life.

Congratulations on the decision, it appears it won't be long before they sell out at the PVB.

Sounds like you have it all figured out.
Yes, you probably would have saved some money going resale, but the market is pretty high right now, and the incentives that you got at Poly brought the actual price of those points down to close to resale. You also saved yourself time and stress waiting to go through ROFR and the other steps. Once Poly sells out, those points will be worth a lot more money, too.

Are you satisfied with just studios or the high points bungalows? 200 points might get you one or two nights in a bungalow. BLT studios are really small (especially for four persons), but the one bedroom villas are very nice with the extra bathroom. As more units get sold, the 11 month headstart you get with your home resort really makes a lot of sense.

Tell your wife - KING SIZE BED IN A SEPARATE ROOM FROM THE KIDS.

It doesn't even show the incentives for Poly on the member website anymore....only for CCV and Aulani. Wonder if they're pulling the incentives?

I just checked to see if you were correct. I was surprised to see them gone. Must be a sign that it is close to being sold out.

I believe, based on an email I remember seeing but can’t find, that the offer is still good for Poly. I just don’t think they’re advertising it much anymore.

I’d certainly check it out if I were interested in buying Poly.

Congrats! We bought 200 direct Poly back in March. Already planning my second DVC trip!

The 10-20 extra points expired oct 31 and nov is the cash off incentive. It is a little less than CCv but still there.

The buyer said they have less than 2000 points until poly is sold out.

About 200,000 points left sounds right, and considering that they’ve been selling 90k plus points at Poly per month, that’s a sellout about the end of January.

2,000? DVC sells more Poly points than that per day.

You know she's going to want the new car too, right?

Looks like shes getting her car now. Good luck on your decision in the future.

Am I entitled to 2016 or only 2017 points with an Oct UY?
2017. Beginning Oct 1st an Oct UY contract signed is in the 2017 UY.

Had you signed on September 30th, the current UY would be 2016, defined as Oct 1, 2016 - Sept 30, 2017, and you would have been entitled to 2016 points.

The only UY left still in the 2016 UY is Dec.

Kinda sucks but not sure Dec UY is worth the points.

Most of our vacations will be in November.

Nope, November trips work better with Oct or Sept UY. That gives you almost whole year to use the points should you have to cancel.

It would not be worth the constant headache, and risk of losing 100+ points, to just get 25 extra. That has an approximate value of $400 on the rental market, for decades worth of headaches.
