Buying DDP at resort

I have made my ressie at a Disney resort but have not bought my tickets yet. Now that I have read all about the DDP I would like to add that to our ticket purchase. Do I have to call my TA to do that or can I just do it on check in?

You'll need to call your TA and have her cancel your room only reservation and book a Magic Your Way package. The dining plan is only available as part of a package (unless you're a DVC member staying at a DVC resort, but it doesn't sound like that's the case).

The above is correct. You can not change your reservation to a package when you check in. You must do this ahead of time and there is a cut off (2 weeks, I think).

No you can not add it at check-in, we did not originally book with dining either and decided we would add it at check-in. We called to verify and they said nope, it must be added prior to your trip. As HaleyB said I think they told me two weeks, also.

From the Dining Plan FAQ:

How far in advance can I add the dining plan before my arrival?
The Dining Plan can be added to qualifying packages until shortly before your arrival date. The number of days varies depending on circumstances, so the recommendation is to be sure that you've made final arrangements at least five days prior.

going in november and we purchased the DDP with our reservation and what a deal we got for the room DDP and passes. can;t wait
