We have an upcoming trip that we are buying the Disney Dining Experience card to use. When I called today, she told me it may take as long as 5 to 6 weeks to get my card and I should buy it when I arrive at WDW.Does anyone know if I can purchase this at the back entrance to Epcot? We are staying at the Boardwalk.....arriving at the BW directly from the airport and then headed right to Mexico for lunch.Of course we would like to use the DDE card for our meal and will not have time to walk all the way to the front entrance of Epcot from BW and then back to Mexico for our ADR. Anyone with experience doing this here? I don't always trust the CM's to know the logistics at WDW....if you know what I mean!!!

I believe all of the DDE purchases will have to be at Guest Relations at the front of the parks.......we are doing this in May so I realize that it is a pain at first....we wont be able to grab a bite at our resort with the discount until we go to Epcot or one of the other parks......

I downloaded the DDE order form from the passholder website and plan to fill it out and fax it with my credit card info so that I have already paid for it. I will check "will call" for pickup at Guest Relations. I would hope we can do "will call" pickup at the Epcot resort entrance....? We'll be on the boardwalk when we first arrive. I guess this is worth looking into a little further. I just assumed......

I just looked very closely at all the information on the Disney passholder website for the details about ordering the DDE. It says that if you fax your order in, you will recieve it in 2 weeks. I am 25 days out....should I chance it? What would you do?? Or just eat my lunch at Mexico and then stroll over and get my card......Only been planning this trip since last April.... time just got away from me......

Yes you can buy it at the Epcot back gate guest relations booth. We did this in December when staying at the BC. It took all of 5 minutes to get the card. Very quick and easy.

Thank you for the info,daisy112878.When you say guest relations, are these where you would buy park passes just before you go thru security? This will make things nice and easy!!!

At the back gate its before you go into the park. You can't miss it b/c it will almost in front of you as you are walking to the back gate. And yes I think they do sell tickets at it too since the back gate isn't that big.

Yes it's where you purchase tickets that you can renew or buy tickets, DDE, & annual passes.

Does Downtown Disney have a guest relations window too? I'm pretty sure you can exchange AP vouchers there. Can you buy DDE there too?

What is the difference between the DDP and DDE? Are they similar or are they complety different? What exactely is the DDE? :confused3

There are two booths at the IG. As you approach them from the resorts, the one on the left is GS. Head to that one.

The one on the right is a ticket booth. You can buy APs and other tickets there but not DDE. I made the mistake of going there first last month when I needed to purchase both.

mommytoone, the DDE is quite different from the DDP. It's a discount card available for purchase only by FL residents or APers. It provides a 20% discount at most WDW table service restaurants and lounges as well as at a handful of QS spots.
