Buying coupons and stockpiling....101

Funny thing is, Walmart had a huge display of these bags of candy on sale for a $1.00 last week. I said to myself, I know I've seen a coupon for a $1.00 off of these before but too bad I didn't clip it. Next day, an envelope came from my father who sends me coupons and I found the coupon and clipped it. The following day I go back to Walmart and the display was still there but ALL of the candy (4 shelves worth) had been cleared out! However, they accidently, I'm assuming, left one lonely bag hidden away on the bottom shelf. And I snapped it up! :rotfl:

I started stockpiling about a year ago. I saw a post about a couponing board and started scanning it for the deals. It has made such a difference in my life. I regularly save between 60% and 80% of my grocery bill. I have a pantry that can feed this family for months. It's amazing how much money I've saved. I am not someone who slaves over the deals 24/7 but I find the things my family will use and stock up!

A perfect example is my shopping trip today. Here's a few examples:

30 Bumble Bee Tuna pouch - $0.29 each ($0.79 sale with $0.55 off coupon)
24 Ragu Spagetti Sauce - $0.39 a jar ($1.39 sale with $0.50 coupon/doubled)
30 Gatorade 32 oz - $0.37 each (buy 10 get 5 free - $0.70 before coupon)
10 Purina Kitten Chow - FREE (FREE coupon - $2.19 each = FREE)
10 Post Cereal - $2.00 for 2 boxes ($1.00 off 2 coupon = $1.00 box)
20 Viva Paper Towels - $0.44 each ($1.29 - $0.85 coupon)
40 3 packs of Ivory Soap - FREE - ($1.00 each - $0.50 coupon/doubled)
10 packs of Pamper Wipes - FREE -($1.97 each - $2.00 coupon)

All these are stock up items for me and all of these deals were found on a full cup.com. I shopped at Krogers, Walmart and Save A Lot, but also save money at the drugs stores and other grocery stores. It takes a little work but once you get a system down it's easier. I don't carry a binder like some couponers but instead look at the sale in advance and then order or buy coupons that save me $$$$. Everyone has to find the system that works for them.

Good Luck to you and you'll be amazed at how much money it saves.

Coupon clippers is a good sight and coupon master. If i see something on sunday i could get cheap or free sometimes i will order coupons so i can stock up. But pull coupons in the stores are good too to pull and save for a sale.

I go to Weusecoupons to find out what's going to be on sale and what coupons to use for what stores. I also found a person on there that will send me coupons (I pay for her time... blah...blah....) and I just got the 6/27 coupons on 6/28. Not bad!!!

Just a word of caution: Because more people are doing the coupon/stockpiling, more stores are limiting what you can buy. The grocery store I shop at limits 2 coupons for the same item, 20 coupons total per person per day. Make sure you read the fine print at your grocery store before buying 30 of the same coupon!
