Buying contacts online

I have always been lucky and my contacts were super cheap at WalMart. Well I have new multifocal lenses I need now. I have been using samples but have used them up and now have to buy my own. Went to WalMart and they were about $60 a box. :scared1: Looked online at several sites and found one, Opticontacts.com, that was $78 for 2 boxes and that included shipping. Anyone used this company or have a suggestion for someone to use?

I have single vision so I'm not sure about cost differences there, but I found great deals with Coastal Contacts.

No, no experience with them. I buy my multifocals (and DS' single vision) from ReplaceMyContacts.com. I find that they have excellent customer service. (They also INSIST on actually seeing your scrip. The best option is to scan it so that you can email it to them right after you submit the order; they have a separate email address for scrips.)

I just bought 5 boxes of Acuvue Presbyopia from them about a month ago. The order was 5 boxes for $152.00, so $30.40 per box, no tax or shipping.

I just ordered mine though 1800 contacts. It's who I always use. I paid $171 for 4 boxes(so 6 months worth) of multifocal B&L softlens.

I always price my family's contacts each year to find the cheapest place to buy them online (because online is ALWAYS much cheaper than my doctor's office!), and I have always found the best price at AC Lens. I promise I have used them regularly the last 5 or so years and have always had good service from them. (I wear SofLens Toric and my girls wear Acuvue Oasys and O2 Optix.)

Thanks so much for the suggestions. Sounds like you got some good prices. I have my list and will look at them tonight.

Make sure to check Walgreens.com also. Right now they have a special for 20% off contacts. I got mine for cheaper than I could find them anywhere else with free shipping.

Good luck!

I always buy contact lenses at 1800contacts. They will price match any other site. I have never had a problem with them and have been buying contacts for 3 of us for quite a few years.

I wear Accuvue Oasys and I usually find the cheapest price at AmericaLens.com. If you go to For Eyes, they will price match the per box price, but you have to ask for it.

We have used 1800 contacts for years-excellent customer service and return policy. At DS15's last eye appointment our eye dr has started to price match for 1800 contacts so we got his contacts through them this time. They will only accept returns for unopened boxes where 1800 accepts returns on open boxes but not a huge deal.
