If I come to the register to pay for the clothes I would like to purchase and they are off the hangers and folded, could you please keep them nice and folded? Especially since I've folded them in such a way that the tag is hanging out for you?

And if you HAVE to unfold them for whatever reason, can you please fold them again after you scan the tag?

And if for some reason you do not know how to fold clothing nicely, please, at the very least, DO NOT BALL THEM IN A WAD WHEN YOU PUT THEM IN THE BAG!

This mostly happens at Wal-mart.

Thanks, I feel a bit better now.

This is one more reason to not like Wal Mart! Another thing I hate, is that there is 4 lanes open for checking out and each line has 8-10 people in it while 4-5 clerks are standing around instead of opening another line up. Today, in the middle of ringing up the person in front of me, the cashier ups and walks away :earseek: to go check a price. Why not just call that particular dept and ask them the correct price?
Added to the fact that there were NO carts in the entrance to the store, as they were all scattered throughout the parking lot while the 2 cart attendants sat on a picnic table socializing, is just another reason to shop at Target. :)

We don't have the problem with carts here. There are always TONS in the front door.

I prefer Target....but Wal-mart was right beside school when I left tonight and Target is on the complete opposite end of town. Only went in to get a few essentials and saw a $1 clearance clothing rack. Picked up a couple skirts and a few tees off of it. Guess they really needed to get rid of stuff!

Don't you wash the clothes before you wear them? :confused3

I always wash new clothes, so really don't care how they put them into the bag.

They need to unfold clothing to make sure someone didn't fold other items into the clothing that they are trying to steal. You can't expect Nordstrom service at Walmart. I use the self-check out lanes so things go into the bags the way I want them to.

In my area, Ross gets First Place in the "Rolling Clothes in a Ball and Stuffing Them in a Tiny Sack" category. Walmart is up there on the list, however. I have become very proactive in my "old age" and monitor stuff like that. Old Navy gets positive points for asking if I want the clothes left on the hanger.

As the owner of a childrens clothing store i always give the item a once over for any damage before it leaves the store so if its folded i unfold it people could put a thin item inside the outfit for their profit. Unlike walmart i do know how to refold, another reason to shop at smaller local businesses than walmart. its places like that that put people like me out of business.

Some things, but not everything.
There are quite a number of things I would not wash before wearing. This hasn't happened at JUST walmart, but that's the most common place I've seen it. I can understand having to unfold for LP reasons, but if they can't refold, they should still have a little courtesy and not ball up my items I'm purchasing.

That's beside the point.

When purchasing clothes--I would imagine the respectful thing to do is to NOT treat them like dirty laundry or trash. (worked in retail--so I guess it is more than imagined..kind of the purpose of training proper product handling).
