buying blank shirts

Ok, I was stupid and went out this am to Michael's to use my 25% off coupon on their t-shirts that were 2/$5 (pretty much their regular price). Needless to say, they were all gone in sizes I needed. I have a couple online sites I've saved over the years and never ordered from. I am curious if there is a particular brand that works better for the iron ons, (Haines, Jerzees, etc) or percent cottton 100% or 50/50? I need to get moving here, we leave in jsut over two weeks and I haven't started any of our shirts.

100% cotton is what most transfer paper instructions suggest. I like GILDAN heavy weight (6.1 oz)shirts and they are usually the least expensive and very good quality. I use shirtdistributor.com and only pay about $1.50 per adult shirt s-xl...larger sizes are available upto about a 5x for a higher price, as well as kids and infants, and GILDAN has a wide selection of colors...I think there are like 57 colors!!!. I just recieved an order of 21 shirts of various sizes from infant to 4x and paid a total of under 52.00 including shipping and it arrived in 4 or 5 days!
