Buying APs Online and AP Website

So, if I buy APs online, does the year start when I buy them or when I actually go to DL and use them?

Also, if I buy online do I get access to the AP website right away or do I have to wait until I go to DL and use the APs first?

The ap's year starts the first day you use the ap's. And although I'm not 100%, I believe you can't access the AP website until you have your AP. When you register or try to access the ap section it asks for your ap # and if I recall correctly you only get that on the back of your AP, it's not something found on the vouchers you get when you purchase online.

The credit you are given when you upgrade is based on what you paid, and not the current value of what you're upgrading from, correct?

I was able to access the site as soon as I bought mine online, that was just last month. Even if the barcode numbers don't all fit just type it until you're out of numbers, it works

Yes you can

You enter the barcode from the voucher that you print up, that gives you access to the AP area. Then when you have your AP, you just login and update your details and there is an area where you can update and change the barcode. You just delete the old barcode and enter the new one that is on your card and save it. Voila

Yes, you will get an e-ticket you can print out and take to the gate with you. Then you can go to the AP center and have the picture taken.

Yes, but not right away (although we did as there wasn't anybody in the queue). You take the voucher you print up from buying online to the turnstyle, they will take it and give you a paper type ticket. You then take that along to the AP place, but as I mentioned before you don't have to go to the AP place straight away, you can do that throughout the day when it suits you.
